Customer Questions & Answers

Can the left and/or right side be trimmed to fit? My space is 3/8" smaller than width of cabinet.

Asked by: LRCS
These cabinets have an extra 1/4" on each side (the face frame is 1/4" extended from the cabinet box) so they can be trimmed to fit. A local wood shop should be able to help is you don't have the tools.

What are these made out of?

I see that it says "composite" material but I suspect that is a fancy way of saying particle board. So is this a particle board cabinet?
Asked by: Bass
The cabinet boxes are made from particle board and the doors are made from MDF: MDF (medium-density fiberboard) is inexpensive, durable, and a good choice for many woodworking and carpentry projects.

How many shelves do the 30" X 30" X 12" wall cabinets come with?

Asked by: Russell1952
Normally, most 30 inch tall cabinets come with 2 adjustable shelves. Hope this helps you. If you only need to use 1, then just remove the other one, if you need more then it is easy to just measure and cut to size.

30x30x12 in. Hampton Wall Cabinet in Satin White is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 150.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality for the price, but check shelf holes before buying Decent quality for the price. No issues with the frame / construction quality. However, with both cabinets we purchased the manufacturer installed one of the cabinet sides upside down; as a result, none of the shelf holes lined up. Be sure to actually open the doors and check that the position of the side walls match before buying and hanging or you'll have to re-drill your shelf holes, like I did :-(

I chose to order these online through THD and picked up in store. They were ready for me on a rolling cart already. I also bought two 3" spacers to fill in the space I have in my laundry room. Mounting hardware is not included, so I bought cabinet mounting screws. These are good for utility spaces...laundry rooms, utility closets, garages. I don't think I would ever expect to see these in a kitchen. Maybe a basement bar, at the most. They're cheap, don't expect super high quality. But they're great for the cost and for what I need them for. Only one minor issue. The cabinets come with 2 shelves, but there were only enough shelf pegs for 1 shelf. I don't know if this was intended, or an oversight (though both cabinets?!). I'm sure if I called, they would send me the missing pegs, but we ended up only wanting 1 shelf per cabinet anyway. If it was important to me, I might knock off one star. But it's not, so 5 stars from me!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from OK For A Laundry Room The doors don't come together and they do not hang level with each other. Maybe I'm being too picky, but I never would have bought it had I seen the big gap and the uneven doors. The cabinet is packed where you can't see the flaws until you've already opened it up. You get what you pay for so, for me it was ok for a laundry room or garage that nobody sees, but I sure wouldn't use it in a kitchen or other exposed area.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Recommended with Reservations For installation, I give this a 2. For everyday usage, I give this a 4. The cabinets are not built truly square and required quite a bit of sanding, shimming and chalking to get multiple units to line up. Once installed, the cabinets function well. The finish is pretty durable and easy to clean. The movable shelves are not the full depth of the cabinet. Also, the hinges open to just past 90 degrees (so don't whack your head on them like I did).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great cabinets for the price We were able to hang two of these in less than an hour to remake our laundry room. For under 300 we completely remade our laundry room and made it much nicer. These are great cabinets for utility rooms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cabinets for laundry room These fit perfectly in the space above washer/dryer. We only use one shelf inside but the top can hold lots of stuff like a third shelf would. Purchased these on sale so it was a good buy and product for this project. To hang, we removed the doors (for less weight and ease of drilling.) We first attached and leveled a 2 by 4 (bought and cut at Home Depot) for supporting the cabinets. Husband attached them into studs easily. Doors were hung and adjusted. Added knots. Should have done this years ago! Be sure to inspect open boxes at store. One shelf was missing but caught the problem before we left.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Purchase Nice cabinets for a good price, would have expected to pay more. Viewed the cabinets on line and purchased two at the store. Cabinets are constructed using wood frames, compressed fiber panels and doors with a smooth (white) finish. Decent hinges. Easy to follow installation instructions printed on the outside of the box. I hung two cabinets side by side on a laundry room wall, they look nice. If you are going to diy and have no experience hanging wall cabinets, suggest using pan head wood screws with washers screwed directly into wall studs.
