What do I use to cover the bare wood at the bottom of these cabinets?

Asked by: YSAMc
They have a toe kick plate that you can buy. The one I purchased was 4.5" by 90" (or they have smaller sizes too) and is the same material as the cabinets. Cut this plate to the size needed and then glue or nail this plate to the bottom of the cabinet.

Customer Reviews

30x34.5x24 in. Hampton Base Cabinet with Ball-Bearing Drawer Glides in Cognac is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Major Kitchen Transformation! The cabinets look beautiful, they are durable, and they were easy to install! Although it took some figuring on finding which cabinet sizes we needed to fit in each space (because certain styles come in certain sizes and were not always in stock), it was all worth it. We even modified the sink base cabinet to hold my dish sponges. Several years ago I was quoted about $18K to redo my kitchen and honestly that had turned me off from wanting to move forward with any updates. But honestly for the price of around $2500 for everything and the ease of installation I am very please with the end result!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Some quality issues The cabinet itself looks great. However there was staples poking out on the inside from the back piece. Glue also showed from a couple of joints, all on the inside which u can't see in the store. The doors were easy enough to adjust and the drawer opens and closes smoothly

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Price is high, quality is low, no quality control or pride in workmanship Purchased 7 different cabinets, 6 had problems. cracks in wood, broken drawer slides, base cabinets bases are not equal in all cabinets making it hard to finish off the trim at the base, large scratches that they actually tried to cover up with brown marker (looked like a 6 year old tried to touch them up), cheap construction, The only good thing I can say is that the shelves are decent (except for the excessive glue that was blobbed over a few of them that was hard to get off. It is a shame they are not the greatest quality or workmanship because they actually look good with the exception of all the scratches chips etc...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I've always heard "You get what you pay for" I ordered a 30 in base, a 24 in 3 drawer, and top cabinets in same size - in Cognac. First, order was delayed because store did not place - arrived with cushed back - end panels will not adhere to the cabinets - and even though the base cabinets align perfectly - the drawers do not. The top drawer of the 3-drawer unit is lower than the top drawer of the two-door unit. The finish is less than I expected. The single door of the 24 in top does not close properly - looks bowed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Biggest trash I ever bought I'm a remodeling contractor with over 20 years behind me ,seen it all and I can tell you that this is Very low quality .We bought 18 cabinets for $2600 for a kitchen remodeling.Five had to be returned for exchange . For the rest we used up two bottles of wood glue to make it stronger half decent at least, not to fall apart .All fasteners used are staples and all is made of pressed wood with printed wallpaper quality veneer on outsides. Not ONE piece of decent quality plywood content Drawers are the trashiest possible quality with thin pressed "paper" bottoms. side nailed with 18 Ga pin nails ready to fall apart under load.. Faces while looks attractive and good, are made of wood of firewood quality full with notches and thin cut face frames. Hinges used are an other headache. Stay away from this set save the headache and buy something else

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Only average quality Bought a kitchen full of assorted sized cabinets. I knew they were not of the highest quality but needed something I could get off the shelf. I, too, found there were numerous places on the cabinets that had been "touched up" at the factory and very poorly, I might add. By the time some of these touch-ups were discovered, it was too late to do anything about it. There are also a lot of rough spots in the finish so they are hard to wipe off or dust because your paper towel will shred. My biggest gripe is I had to return and exchange almost every cabinet I purchased just to get an "acceptable" unit. On one cabinet in particular I had to take the best of the only 3 they had in stock. The quality of construction isn't that great but after I added a granite counter-top, it made them appear more high quality than they actually are. By the way, the manufacturer's "limited" lifetime warranty means that it is at their discrection whether or not they repair damages after purchase. Buy with care!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cabinet for restroom We selected this cabinet for our church's restroom - to give us storage in the restroom while putting in a piece of furniture that would look great for years to come.
