We bought 2 cabinets for our plant break room and both work great. The drawers are a nice size and slide smoothly. The cabinet space underneath is ample, although an extra shelf would have been welcome. We bought new drawer pulls to match the others in the room. There was no assembly required. We're very satisfied with the look and function of the cabinets.

After what I thought was a careful review of the boxed merchandise, I found out that (1) of the cabinets has been hit so hard that a door hinge was bent. I intend to repair the damage myself. The quality is sub par. I tried to purchase the 36" base but it was so sprung that the drawer would not open. I rearranged my design and thought that I had verified the condition of the 30" base cabinets. It was up on a shelf so I figured it was safe from damage. Fortunately I can repair it to make it work and install the damaged corner to the inside on the back. Just disappointed.

All of you complaining about not enough room to install countertops. You have to use a build up kit that is sold near the in-stock countertops. The lip of the countertop is NOT meant to overhang the drawer. Top sits on top of cabinet. You wouldn't be able to put an end cap on the end of countertop without the build up kit. Cabinets are not put together very well, drawers fall apart.

Do not buy this product. the cabinets were falling apart while we were removing them from the box. Nothing was square. We had had them sitting in our garage more then 90 days before we were able to install them and could not get a refund. Now I have $3000.00 worth of cabinets hanging on my walls in my laundry room that I don't dare to put anything in as I am afraid the cabinet will fall off the wall. The screws were pulling right through the press board while we were attaching them to the wall. So upset that a company would even sell a product that is so unsafe. Should have read the reviews before buying. They are being held together with glue and staples or I should say they are not being held together.

It's not just that they use cheep materials! The way the cabinet is put together is despicable! Usually we build our own cabinets but for this job customer ordered them from HD and asked us to install them. It took me 1 hour just to realign draw faces and doors so it all can look some how decent. It used to be all adjustable stuff but this days they just staple everything making it impossible to adjust. It's disappointing that HD sales a product that is not good even for rental.

This base is not solid wood but good enough for a laundry room or garage.
The drawer slides are metal ball bearing which are better than the standard ones they include on the non finished oak base.

Bought these to be the base to built-in bookcases in my family room. 4 stars because I had to pull one drawer out and realign in with the slides to roll well, and adjust the hinges. Don't forget to look at the doors for square and adjust the hinges, they are made to be adjusted so fix them people!! They won't come perfect.
Otherwise they are nicer than the ones that don't come finished. Thee unfinished ones are two piece door and the drawer doesn't have edge trim. These are solid one piece doors and the drawer does have routed edge trim.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by anonymousinNoVa mediocre quality--one major design flaw
Cheap look and feel. We don't feel confident putting anything heavier than napkins and microwave popcorn envelopes in the drawer, and don't feel like we can store boxes of soda underneath. We do like that the bottom area is completely open (no board going down between the doors and shelf is completely removable) so that it could easily accommodate a mini fridge, so we went ahead and bought it. As for the design flaw, we're glad we read one other review that flagged that if you buy one of HD's standard laminate countertops (we bought a "Valencia" style countertop) the overhang of the countertop blocks the drawer--there is insufficient clearance above the drawer to accommodate the countertop. You have to buy "bumpers," little wooden blocks to go around the circumference of the countertop to lift it up for the drawer to clear. Also have to buy a kickplate or toeplate--note that bottom front recessed edge is unfinished. And you have to buy hardware. So you end up getting nickled and dimed a little with accessories to make the item functional. It suits our purpose but if we hadn't read the review about the countertop problem before buying we would have been quite upset to have brought the item home and discovered it ourselves, so we thought it worth repeating that comment. Products sold in tandem by a store should work together. As an aside, HD's online store inventory tool is very unreliable. We ended up driving to a half dozen stores before we found all the pieces we needed for this product and the accompanying countertop. (In one instance, the website said they had 19 of an item in a particular store, but there were none to be found in the store, even if you inquire all the way to the store manager.)
