I bought 15 sets of 3 light black units for my basement remodel. Also searched diligently for the correct dimmer switch, and found one. The lighting is great for spot lighting anything you want, even for a straight downlight to the floor. 360 directional, and bright. Here's the rub. Technology has not caught quite up to speed regarding the dimmers. I have three sets of dimmers, and ALL of them will not dim the lights all the way down to off. Not a terrible issue, but this should be rectified. I have not experienced any buzz, however on full brightness, some of the bulbs flicker a little, which is annoying. I just turn them down a very small bit and it stops. Now, how long they last will be determining factor of value. Only six months into them, so will see, but so far I love them.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by mapmaker17 Good LED lighting at a great price
We connected three tracks together with the track connectors. When installing the track heads, pay attention to the side with one pin vs two pin; they can be installed backwards and then will not work. The only gripe about the product - each track head comes with two labels, which require use of charcoal lighting to get all of the goo off the fixture (very time consuming).

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Newlys A good looking fixture for quality spot lighting
We love the look of this track light. It has a clean design and could easily fit in most homes. Our only issue is that it's definitely good for high quality, bright LED spot lighting, but it doesn't diffuse light well throughout the room. I assume most customers buying track lights are looking for spot lighting so this shouldn't be a problem. We just had to add a floor lamp in the room. Overall, a great buy!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by CDCM Wish I knew replacement bulbs would be available
I already had LED track lighting in two other rooms when I purchased this last one for another room. This type lighting seems to work better as far as diffusing the light when the ceiling is high. Supplemental lighting is needed. My biggest concern is whether I will be able to get replacement heads. While the heads and lights are supposed to last twenty or more years, I had one head in another room quit working in less than a year. I can only find two heads in stock in two stores in Alabama and would have to travel over a hundred miles to purchase those or pay an $80 shipping fee for each bulb.

I bought two 4-track units. They were easy t installa nd look great and most important, the light is beautiful. I added an extra head for a little more light at the bottom of the stairs. I am glad i waited for LEDs and I am glad I found these by Hampton Bay because they fitr my budget and look great.

We really like the LED light from the fixture, gives plenty of light in our kitchen. The look of the fixture fits the surroundings and is easy to look at. Instillation wasn't as good. Actually installing the light is like most light fixtures, what drove me crazy was part of the packaging. They put clear tape, with a message, around the base of each head. The tape was hard to get off, left a residue behind, which was even harder to get off, otherwise dirt and dust just sticks to it.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Reapazor Great, but know your limitations.
My 2cents ...
On the American HD site, you can find a few reviews for this track set and they are typically good, however there are a few ones that discuss the "hum" as a bad part about them.
I figured I would chime in about that as it is a result of using a dimmer only. When hooked straight into a normal setup these lights are quiet and work perfectly, however if you introduce a dimmer to them they will hum (as do all LEDs when attached to a dimmer). Some specific LEDs are better then others with how loud they hum, but they still do. In the case of this track lighting, it is more noticeable the lower you take them. So, the point here is, if you are putting these in an environment where you want to dim them and they are "close enough" (this is kind of subjective) but lets just say on a basement ceiling as an example, you probably don't want to use them. However, say you were putting them on your vaulted 16 foot ceiling in your entry way they would be fine (of course the question of why you would want to dim them there has to be asked ...).
Anyways, great product, easy to install, just fully research dimmable LED hum if you are putting them on a dimmer (that also must be LED/CFL approved).
