We would like to use this as a replacement for a ceiling fixture. Is there any reason this bar cannot be attached to the ceiling? Thanks!

Answer:
If you can get the power to a location, you can mount the light there as well. I installed mine above a bathroom mirror so I had to run power lines there, but it mounts easily with or without a previously installed fixture in the same location.

Original poster back - YES, these lights worked very well in the ceiling! In fact, seeing how these worked in our large, internal bathroom, we put these in the other bathrooms, too.

Is the fixture able to move

Try to explain. we got a bigger vanity and now the box in the wall is a few inches off center of the faucet. Looking to see if they make a vanity light that can sort of adjust a bit side to side. Like a track light I guess of sorts. Even 2 inches would help.

Answer:
It really depends on how long the wires are not the ability of the fixture to move. We had the same problem and my husband had to move the box with all the wires a few inches....

In the sense of moving like a track light system, no.
However, you can move it slightly. Vanity lights have a bit of leeway for moving sideways, but depending on exactly where the box is will determine if it will cover it completely.

I recently bought the 4-light fixture. When I powered it up, not all 4 bulbs light, I swap them around, but not all 4 light at same time.

Sometimes just one, then swap, then 3 light up... Power is good, and I made sure the tabs in the socket make contact. Odd that say, the #1 socket works for one bulb, but not the next.

Answer:
The common cause for your dilemma is reversed electrical polarity. The hot wire (black) and the common wire (white) are each connected where the other should be connected. The next possibility is a poor ground connection

All bulbs are wired in parallel meaning the power wire connects to each lamp one after the other. Take a known good bulb and screw it into the socket closest to the input power pair. Bulb must light even when the wires are moved. Take this proven bulb and put it in each of the sockets. It should light in each socket even when it is jiggled. Take the rest of the bulbs and screw in. Light should light. When all are lit, shake the fixture to see if any connections are loose. Personally, I prefer LED bulbs for the color (warm white) and long life. They are safer than compact fluorescents which have phosphorous inside. These fixtures are of average quality but are priced pretty low by comparison. Read Less

If all the light bulbs work the fixture should light(all bulbs) when "powered up", you should return the product for a new fixture.

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 68 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Most Impressive This light was purchased as an replacement for difficult to access florescent fixture in a bathroom. The low price was the initial, and only, product feature necessary for purchase originally. Unfortunately for me, the brushed nickel finish, the fixture style, and with the Phillips Globe Lamps illuminating the bathroom, a simple light fixture installation became the first step of a bathroom remodeling. It sure is a nice looking light bar. July 10, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Garbage When you buy cheap, you get cheap. I would not recommend this product to anyone. Spend a little more and get a better light fixture. August 16, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product!!! This bar light is very simple but elegant at the same time. Nothing fancy, but again, gives the bathroom very clean and warm look. Wanted to buy more expansive bar light but the quality of most of them so much worse than this one. We opened quite a few boxes with bar lights at the store but none of them felt sturdy or well made compare to this product.Would definitely recommend it. June 28, 2016
