The track worked out great in our kitchen and we added two pendant lamps to finish it off. Had to special order the pendant connectors. Only slight negative was the literature in the track box stated that the adapters were available in black but they were not when we went to order them. We ordered bronze finish which is almost unnoticeable.

These lights are beautiful, and I highly recommend purchasing. Appearance, Quality, and Value I rate 5's, though Ease of installation.... is Poor. This is a bear to install. You need 6 hands, and 3 ladders to do this properly, with ease. I did it by myself, finally, and would NOT recommend you do it alone. Don't even attempt, trust me.
But they are beautiful lights...
Notice in the photos I horseshoed mine instead of the suggested "S". Also, disregard the rest of the photo, as my theater room is under construction.

I got lucky on installation, as I did a random measure, started dividing by two for the curves, and post placement. I'm sure the directions are similar to what I did though :P
Only thing I wish, it had one more post.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by jmyler Great looking lights, get complements all the time.
I'm extremely happy with the end result of these lights, it was just what i was looking for in my theater room. Getting them up takes a little work and you most certainly need another person to help, but the end result is well worth it.
I'll give a run down of how we put these up and hopefully it will help someone else out. I bought two of them and by the second one we had it figure out.
The best thing to do is decide how you want the lights laid out on the flexible strip that they connect to on the ground. Since there isn't an even number of lights you have to decide which side is going to have three and which one is going to have two. and if you want one side longer than the other side in regards to the ceiling receptacle. Then i got some masking tape and marked on the flexible strip where each bracket would be, and where the power receptacle would be, measuring to make sure they were equidistant apart.
Connect the wires and have the receptacle ready to go, Once you have that done, have your helper hold one side of the 10' strip while you hold the other side and make the design that you would like. Once you are happy with it mark the ceiling where each piece of tape is. Then you can throw the strip back on the floor and drill all your holes and install the brackets that hold the flexible strip to the ceiling. Once those are up you put the strip up in the brackets, and then install the lights between the brackets.
Using this method the second lights took no time at all. The first set took longer figuring out a good method than it did to get them up there.
Another thing worth mentioning is that one set of lights came with no bulbs and an extra bag of brackets but home depot gave me the light bulbs with very little question or hassle.
My only beef with the lights is that because they are adjustable they have two screws on each side to keep them in place once you find where you would like them, but the screws are so short that a microscopic turn to loosen them up to adjust and they fall out. You have about 1/1000 of a turn between too tight to adjust and screw falling out. I don't foresee me moving them a ton so it's not a huge issue, and even though a couple of them have fallen out and i haven't replaced them yet because i can't reach without getting the ladder out, the lights still can be positioned without moving.
Overall i'm extremely happy with the looks of the lights. I love the flexibility (quite literally) that they offer.

My husband put this light in our kitchen and it looks fantastic. It produces a great amount of light and makes the kitchen look really regal. I am trying to find another place in the house to put another one. One suggestion would be to get the LED replacement bulbs; our bill went up QUITE a bit in 1 month after we installed it. The bulbs that come with it are hallogen, and they are 50w per bulb.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Duckhead Looks Increditable on our vaulted ceiling
I thought it would be hard to form the "S" on the ceiling. I mounted the power
Supply first and the two curves were so easy to form. However, with 7 mounts
and only 5 lights, I was wanting 2 more lights. The lady at HD Support got
Me 2 more lights ordered and they are installed and look fantastic.

I was going to add 3 recessed can lights to a bump out area with a soffit - which has a chaise and an art piece on a pedestal. I'm so glad this track lighting caught my eye at Home Depot and we chose it instead. It was easy to install and looks amazing. We put it on a dimmer and it provided plenty of reading light. We got so many compliments on it. We've moved into a new home, and are going to purchase it again to recreate that reading room / gallery effect. The finish is more like oil-rubbed bronze than black (unless it's changed since we bought our first one). I highly recommend it.
