No cover, but I found a cover for Adirondack Chairs at Job Lots that fits perfectly. The dimensions were H 37" x W 31" x D 34". Works great, and only cost $5,

It gets somewhat cold here about 55 degrees F. The medium setting puts out somewhat of good heat if you are may be a foot away from the fire pit. At full power it puts out enough heat for a small to medium size group of people if you are a bout 2 feet away from it. I only bought this gas fire pit for a section of the patio area where the bar is going to be at. I've bought a wood burning fire pit for the open area since I knew it wasn't going to put out that much heat for a large group of people. Note, I put it together by myself. It was pretty easy. The directions aren't the best, but if you use common sense it would be easy. I do suggest not to tighten anything until you have everything set up. That way you can align the doors and panels correctly.

Luckily, I read the reviews before putting this unit together, so it really helped with making it an easy setup. First of all, DO NOT tighten ANY screws until the entire unit has been put together upside down. Loose screws will allow you the ability to align everything properly. Second, the images in the instructions might not match up with the unit you purchased. For example, the 4 main support beams (see picture) are to be screwed into an angled beam underneath the pit, but in my case the beam was not at an angle. This DOES NOT effect installation whatsoever, so don't be alarmed. Simply angle the support beam and lightly screw it in. MOST IMPORTANTLY, once you have the tank in place and the unit has been operational (LIT) for a while, BE VERY CAREFUL when you go to turn off the valve on the gas tank, because the metal base of the pit which is EXTREMELY HOT is just barely 2 inches over the knob on the gas tank. I had to find this out the hard way and ended up with a pretty nice burn on my hand. Overall, the pit looks and operates GREAT! My only concern is with how quickly it sucks down gas. ONE propane tank will only last me about 3-4 hours on LOW, which isn't normal in my experience with heaters.

After it warms up the area a bit, your are forced to turn it down to low where it maintains a comfortable warm temp. If it gets too cold again, just turn it back up. We substituted glass for the rock, just to give the unit a little more class. It takes about 50-60 lbs of glass to fill it up, or another $60 investment, but it's worth it.

I spoke to Hampton Bay and they are sending a new burner that should arrive in 5 to 7 days and they're pretty sure that's going to get it working. As soon as I stop depressing the control nob it cuts gas flow and the show is over. I understand there are no guarantees with anything mechanical, but reading the reviews I'm far from the only one who got a dud right out of the box. Don't ignore this review assuming you'll get lucky. This is a recreational item to be enjoyed and there's nothing enjoyable about waiting on hold with customer service and getting another home repair project from a product right out of the box.

I wanted a fire pit for my front patio and decided to go with a gas unit because my last experience with a wood burning one, as much fun as it is, is quite messy. Soot and ash and smoke is just not as relaxing an environment to just relax on your patio in the evening. So I took some measurements and found that this one would be perfect, and it really looks great in the space! It also provides quite a bit of heat so its great for the evenings when you just want to sit out with your cup of tea or hot chocolate!

Nice big flame that actually gives off some heat which is great for cool evenings. The tile surround is very nice and nice quality. It was easy to assemble and get going. You will need a BBQ type gas tank that is placed inside the table and is completly out of sight. The fire table comes with some basic small lava rocks that are not enough to fill the fire area. We wanted a different look and replaced the lava rocks with larger River Rocks. Looked great until they got hot, exploded and shot out little pieces at us. Learn from our mistake, Do NOT use River Rocks!!! I ordered larger round Lava Rocks online that kind of look like River Rocks and we will be using these as soon as the Southern California 100+ degree heat wave ends. We are very happy with our purchase so far.
