Answer:
Chrome rings hold face plate to light bulb sockets which are attached to the back mounting plate. Back plate is attached to wall. Just remove light bulbs 1st, than pull in a twisting motion the chrome rings off sockets & 2 screws that secure it to the wall.

Answer:
I can confirm that you do NOT need to remove the screws from the individual sockets. Sliding off the housing around the socket is the correct solution. Takes seconds. The only screws you touch are two screws to attach the back-plate to the wall, and one to attach the ground.

You must remove the 6 light socket mounting screws to separate the mounting plate from the front plate. The back plate has 2 mount points.
Once the back plate is mounted, it is now almost impossible to re-connect the 6 light sockets.
Almost impossible to install, 6 small screw in top of each light sockets which fall out.

Once the back plate is on you need to re-install the 6 very small screws which are now horizontal and inside the top of each of the 6 light sockets.
The screws and washer are over an 1 inch in and only 1/2 long, which then can't be placed in the hole, require small fingers.
Making matters worse the 6 screws need to be lined up with the back plate which you can no longer see.
At the same time prior to the first screw being in you need to keep the wires inside and stop the the front from falling or breaking the mirror below.
Poor impossible design.

I recommend using LED bulbs this wold save you a bunch of money
see the attached chart
BTW the 100W bulbs get very hot and draw lots of amps - recommendation is for 60W bulbs max or go with LED and get more light for a lower cost

Answer:
Yes, it's rated for that high a wattage bulb, but you'll need sunglasses with that much wattage unless you also have a dimmer installed. I'd go with 40 or 60 watt bulbs myself. Also, those 100 watt bulbs will be giving off a lot of heat as well.

Hi Babs, your're right. You can use 6-100 watt bulbs. This light bar has 6 100 watt sockets.
You can use clear or frosted bulbs. Check out the installation guide, page 2 under features. So yes you will have 600 watts of light to use. Enjoy.

It states incandescent bulbs. But, so long as you use medium based LED bulbs you'll have no problems. It's just designed to have round bulbs for appearance sake.

Answer:
If you're using incandescent bulbs 12" to be safe. LED's can be much closer to ceiling say 6" because of amount of heat given off is considerably less.
