Rated 4 out of 5Â by MedPed Would have been 5stars if the didn't swap out yellow for a rotten green
My daughter picked this out for her younger sister while I was browsing through the aisles. My only complaint is that of the 5 colors, they swapped out the nice yellow on the picture for a dirty green which is pretty ugly. The other colors are nice, and the yellow would have complimented them perfectly. The light is quite bright with 2 or 3 bulb mode, and the kids never use the 5 bulb mode. (I use 40W incandescent bulbs).
I would recommend it, if you are ok with colors different from the picture (maybe get somebody in the store to open the box to see if you're going to get the right colors).

It was packaged well. It took about 10 minutes to put it together with no tools required. Basically the pole comes in 4 pieces that must be screwed together and the shades must be put on. When putting on the shade there is the possibility of screwing down the locking screw too tight and cracking the shade so be careful. The biggest problem I had was determining what bulb to buy. First it is a small candelabra base which limits the bulb possibilities. Second there is a 40watt limit. Third the bulbs come in different sizes and wattages. I wanted CFL bulbs. I ended up with Ecosmart 40watt equivalent bulbs that use only 7 watts of power. Home Depot had them for $3.97 for a 3 pack, a good buy. Thus for 35watts I get 200 watts equivalent light. Each bulb has 8000 hours of life. The only problem is that they are a little big for the shade and stick out past the shade about an inch depending on the angle (see photo). This is a little distracting if you are sitting and looking right at the light. Of course you can turn the lights so you don't see the bulbs at all but then they are turned away from where you want the light. If this is a problem and you didn't need a lot of light you could get smaller non eco bulbs. Alternatively you could mix bulbs since the switch has multiple positions so you can selectively turn on 2 bulbs, a different 3 bulbs, or all five bulbs at once.

I am very much pleased with the purchase. It is everything said it to be and more especially the colored globe shades and easy assembly. It is perfect for the watching TV area being decorated and now more modern. Thanks for the product on hand while I was walking and browsing the store.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by decoratingmyhome For an inexpensive lamp, lightbulbs make it $$
The lamp costs $20. Two packages of energy efficient light bulbs (5 total) costs $22. Total cost is $42. The lamp looks nice. I like the ability to turn on 2, 3, or 5 of the individual lights. But why did they need to put in the Candelabra design for a lamp that uses plastic shades? 5 regular energy efficient light bulbs cost 98 cents. 5 energy efficient Candelabra light bulbs cost $22! If you are looking for an inexpensive lamp, this is NOT the one to get.
