CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 1.7 out of 5 by 31 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst Purchase Ever, steer cleer Hampton Bay.... I've dealt with their sub standard, out of balance ceiling fans in the past. Well, I've bought a lot of lousy stuff, but this exhaust fan takes the cake. I installed it in a basement bathroom, and when it was running, I think it registered 3.0 on the Richter scale, as it was felt and heard two stories above. I am not exaggerating either. My family room happens to be right above the fan, and I could get a foot massage from the vibrating floor. Absolute trash, don't even try one. I truly believe the fan is out of balance right out of the box. If you want to waste a few unnecessary hours like me, buy one. At least Home Depot took the piece of junk back. I'm done with Hampton Bay, and I will never, never buy one of their products again. November 16, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Buy another brand!!!! This is the worst exhaust fan ever, and that's being nice! We remodeled our bathroom a year ago. We purchased this fan, which was labeled "ultra quiet." Sure, It's ultra quiet, if your definition is sounding like you're standing in a wind tunnel. It died after 10 months of use. Home Depot said that because it has been more than 90 days, it is now under the manufacturer's warranty. We contacted the manufacturer and they said that they would send us out another one within 10 business days. We waited for over 2 weeks and it never came. We went back to Home Depot and told them that we followed their procedure, but they didn't want to hear it. So, we bought a new one. When we got it home, the connectors wouldn't fit each other. Obviously, Hampton Bay has some serious QA problems within their manufacturing plants. Anyway, we had to bring it back again, and swap it for another fan. Your best bet is to keep looking, when you see this fan on the store shelves, or ordering online. It never works up to expectations in the first place and will only be a huge headache in the near future. October 4, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Way too loud I guess it works well. but god is is loud. do not purchase unless you are deaf. September 30, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Don't make the same mistake I did I bought this fan to replace a fan in my bathroom. I was going to purchase the same fan that was there; but decided to purchase this instead because it was advertised as being fairly quiet. MISTAKE!! This fan was ridiculously loud. I thought maybe it was defective, it happens. MISTAKE 2. I read the reviews on Homedepot.com and most said the same thing. The fan is poorly made and vibrates so much it make it unbearably loud. Out it came. Replaced it today with another brand and I now have a smile from ear to ear. March 20, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 Loud!!!!! Don't buy it!!! It was sooo loud I thought it was going to explode. It's a waste of money and labor. Fortunately my contractor gracefully agreed to install another one for me. December 18, 2014
