The part was a little overprice but I needed it. I was using two strips in a kitchen. I did not want to join the two directly as they both had independent connections to the main electrical system. So I opened one them and removed the wires. Very easy. Just loosen the securing screws and pull off the wires. It was cosmetically fine and continuous and I did not have to worry about the electrical interaction between the two power modules I used. I actually used three (3) lamp strip sets but cut one set to make a U-shaped assembly inside an older light box style kitchen. It was a little sticky to slide in at first and you may need to carefully bend the contacts to make sure it slides in easy but MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE THE CASE COVER BEFORE TRY TO SLIDE IT ON. The case cover is fragile and you may crack it. When it was finished it was beautiful. It is a 10' x 8' galley kitchen with (9) 50 Watt lamps. I used a dimmer switch to control the amount of light. It took less than 1 hour to install everything although this specific part to less than 5 minutes. Cost of all the parts was less than $180 and worth every penny! If I can Do THIS, you can Do THIS. The instructions are very simple and easy to read.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DIY1 versatile connector
Product is more flexible and useful than described in the rather rudimentary documentation.
There are two important product features that the documentation ignores (for DIY liability reasons?):
1. One can flip the L direction ("left turn" or "right turn") - this is important because each end is not symmetrical (in order to maintain consistent polarity). This flip is done by unscrewing the face and rotating one end and the back plate 180 degrees to the other side.
2. The connector can also be used as a live feed by connecting/clamping wall 110V AC wires to the unit with the same screws which clamp the short wires bridging the two ends of the L connector. This requires removal of the front and back plates and discarding of the round plug which serves to rotate the two ends in 1, creating instead a hole through which the wall wire ends can be routed.
Simple and clever design!

Works fine somewhat difficult to turn 180. The first time I have put up tract lighting.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Casp7 Finish doesn't match
It works as advertised, but the finish doesn't quite match the Hampton Bay LED kit, and there's no alternate product offered with the right finish.

Product looks great, it's reversible so you can get the track in the correct orientation, and arrived quickly after ordering.
