Bought this fan to replace the one in my kitchen as the bearing had failed. I like the sleek and modern appearance, plus it is supposed to be very energy efficient. Assembly was fairly simple and didn't take long. The fan seemed to be off white at first, but once it was hung I couldn't tell. It does feel very flimsy out of the box. I don't know what I expected but the plastic seems cheap for the price. It does move a lot more air than my previous fan with four blades, and it's pretty quiet. I love that I can reverse directions from the remote. It's a great change from having to flip a switch at the base that usually requires a ladder. Overall very happy with the fan.

We had been looking for a fan that would not only fit in with our decor, but not swing our ice cone glass chandelier over dining room table and also energy efficient. I saw this fan and loved it. Remote with on/off, 6 speed settings, reverse blade direction, energy efficient, modern, and whisper quiet! We keep it on speed 2-3 to help circulate the heat downward. It doesn't swing my glass chandelier at all. I was so excited that it would work for us. It has been running continuously since my husband installed probably 3- 4 weeks ago. Hubby said it was easy to install also. You can not hear anything out of this fan, it is so very quiet. I found this fan when Home Depot offered it on sale for 50% off, what an awesome product and bargain. See picture below

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DuDuBoi Overall a great fan
First, I like the appearance of it and everyone who has seen it thought it was pretty awesome. It has the look of a propeller. Quite unique.
Second, the quality of the fan is quite good. I was a bit skeptical at first because the blades are made of plastic. I was expecting maybe aluminum for the price, but after assembling it, I think its just fine. Also, this fan is QUIET. On the highest setting all I hear is the air moving, nothing from the fan itself.
Third, yes the fan costs a lot more than most, but because this has a DC motor, it'll pay for itself quickly. The highest speed setting on this fan uses less electricity than an AC motor fan on the lowest setting.
Last, the installation for me was a bit tricky because I live in an old condo with concrete walls and ceilings. I had no junction box or wiring running to it. Not the fans fault at all. The only part that seems to be needing adjustment is the housing that fits over the motor. It doesn't go all the way to the ceiling for me so there is a gap all the way around it. I'm not sure if its because of the way I had to install it.
Overall, I really like this fan. The remote is easy to use. 6 speeds, forward and reverse, quiet, efficient and a unique look. If you don't mind paying more for it I totally recommend it.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bill Good fan but looks a little weird
Very efficient fan, design looks like an airplane prop and hub, but okay... Great deal at $149 but too much at $300.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Osprey205 A very nice fan but not perfect
A very nice looking fan and it really moves a lot of air. The 2 blades spin half as fast (on high) as a normal 120 volt fan does and yet move more air.
I just installed it so I really cannot comment on the energy savings. 12 volts should use less, but I'm not sure how I will be able to tell anyway.
It wobbles very slightly and the cowling does not fit flush against the ceiling (in my case) so there is a slight knocking noise. I will have to make shims to resolve that since there is no weighting kit to try to resolve the wobble like normal fans. Fit and finish seem good so I am not sure why the slight out of balance.
The installation instructions are OK if you have ever installed a fan before but for a newbie they would be confusing. All parts were included (with extras) and well packaged for protection. It is also very light in comparison to other fans so a single person install is easier than others in its price range.
The remote works well and there are 5 speed settings along with on/off and upward and downward air flow buttons. You can change air flow without turning the fan off. And if you normally leave the fan at one speed and it is installed on a wall switch you don't need the remote to turn it on and off. But don't loose the remote because other than this on off nicety there are no manual controls.
Over all its a nice fan at the half price ($150 delivered) that I paid, but at full price ($300) I would say I would have been a bit disappointed.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by StevefromSanFrancisco Awesome looking fan that works GREAT. But $$$$
This is by far the most modern, advanced, clean-looking fan I have ever seen. This would be the fan you would see in a movie set in the future. It is freakishly quiet and the controls are amazing. The best fan I have ever seen, used, installed. All of this said, you are going to pay through the nose for it.
