Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jewel Our new fan runs quietly with the low-watt lighting making for "mood" and mellow ambiance.
Not only is this fan fair to look at ... far up in our indoor, sky-lit patio-room ... it whips up enough wind for us to get it a "twin!" ... that we'll install in our equally high ceiling-ed loft designer-space upstairs! Based on how we've rated this product - I'd say it's a Winner-In-Motion "all the way 'round!"

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Douzer It's a good fan
I purchased 5 Algiers style in all. They are good fans with decent styling. They are old school chain pull units and do not come with remotes or custom wall switches. Assembly and mounting is unremarkable. I wired 15 amp - 14 AWG - 3 wire, controlled by a twin slide Lutron control. They come with two standard base CF bulbs that are not dimmable. I'll change these out to dimmable LEDs at some point. Expect the upper ceiling collar adhesive to fail allowing the inner plastic and outer metal to separate. It's an easy fix once the unit is installed.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dovekat Love this fan!
I bought two of the Algiers silver fans for my lanai replacing Hunter fans that I previously had. These fans are quite attractive, move plenty of air, and are super nice. I was a bit apprehensive about buying fans online and wasn't sure how "silver" the fan might be; however, I was pleasantly surprised and loved the color, which blends very well with my beige patio furniture, white beadboard ceiling, and light brick pavers. The fans are well worth the price I paid! I did not install the fans myself so I cannot comment on difficulty of installation.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by FLGa8tr Maybe the most frustrating fan install ever
I've installed dozens of fans and had three of these. Horrible directions, very vague. The first one (flush mount) took me three hours. Second and third (drop mount) took 2.5 hours each - and I am a pretty handy guy.
If you are buying these and having a "pro" install them, then I think they are very attractive and appear to be well built (only had them up about a month on a covered back patio). If you've not installed fans before, don;t have incredible patience and an extra set of hands (and a shot of whiskey for afterwards), pass on these.
NOTE: If your fan lights are wired for a dimmer, the included CFL bulbs will not work on a dimmer. I replaced them with standard bulbs to work with the dimmer.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Rob Very stylish outdoor fan
Very nice fan. Just know that as with anything outdoors the elements will destroy it in about four years. This is my second set (on outdoor porch) as the blades broke off and entire fan rusted out. Not blaming fan since I knew this going in. The wind and rain just do not allow longevity. I have two of them hanging on 36 inch rods and you could buy much less expensive ones. I just think these look nice.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by BBarn It went up easy but did have a little wobble that we balanced out by moving blades rather than weights
Looks great. I wish we could use a little more wattage bulbs. It's in our covered patio and low speed works just the right amount of air movement. Very happy so far.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BRAM83 Easy to install. Informal yet elegant.
We took our time finding the right fan for our 10ft high screened-in porch. We do not regret the wait. We love the unique shaped blades and chevron design on the motor casing and blades. Lighting is not an issue, as we prefer a soft light a night.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by ohio67 The globe was broken on the light when it arrived. I have been unable to get a replacement from the warranty company. The first 2 tries led to frustration. Finally spoke with someone that said they would get back with me. Finally received an e-mail stating it was backordered and could be weeks before they were in stock. Does not give off much light.
