Answer:
Thank you for your question. No, the lights do not spin with the fan. The 360 view online is made up of a number of photographs taken at many different angles and when place in the 360 format it seems as thought the lights spin with the fan, but that is not actually the case. The only part that spins is the fans motor & blades.

From the pictures it appears that there is a "bowl" shaped upper portion of this fan for the up lights to be installed. When the bulbs are installed, are they pointing upwards or downwards. Also, it the "bowl" covered from the top? Thankss

Answer:
These are candle bulbs and are mounted sideways. They are already installed at the factory. The bowl is not open at the top, except for some slots to vent the heat.

Good question. I had to run in and look at it. The fan motor and light arms to the lamp are more black. There is definitely a difference between the fan blades and the motor. Hope that helps. It looks great!

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 18 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Classy, well made, and easy to assemble I wanted a fan with more lighting due to this being in a bedroom and this fan has it. I knew from the reviews that the up and down lights cannot be operated separately and I think it looks great with them all on at the same time. I wasn't sure from online pictures if the metal parts over the light globes would look cheap in person, but the fan looks very classy. The other reviewers are accurate with regard to ease of installation. I am a small woman -- this is the second ceiling fan I have installed without assistance -- and the directions for this fan were very straightforward. I love the ball/socket mounting bracket that allows for the fan to be in place without having to hold any weight while the wires are being connected. March 16, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not Exactly What I Wanted...But a Nice Fan I thought the up lighting would work separate from the down lighting, but it doesn't. When you turn on the lights ALL the lights come on. It would be a more useful fan if you could turn on the up lights separate from the down lights. I just loosened the bulbs on the down lights so they will not come on, as I want the up lights as a night light. So, it was not exactly what I thought it would be...but it is a nice fan. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bob Nice fan wished that you could have used the lights separate top only bottom only but it is what it is October 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy installation great product This fan is so beautiful on my vaulted ceiling I put up 4 in my living area and the transformation was amazing highly recommended September 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Master Bedroom Upgrade Took advantage of a great sale price along with an additional 15% off for Memorial Day to upgrade our old brass Hunter fan. Installation was a breeze. The only tricky part is the lamp installation and compacting the wires to mount the lamp. Take it slow with patience and you will have no problem at all. The three bulbs pointing down provide plenty of light and we have a large master. The up light is a nice touch as well. The only bad design I see on it is the up light cannot be controlled separately from the down light, which I already knew going in. The fan looks great, my wife loves it and anyone we've had over commented on how nice it looked. June 21, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Room changer These are beautiful. Simple to install. Lighting is just right. The only thing I was slightly disappointed is I would have liked to operate the top and bottom lights separately. July 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hampton Bay Alicante Fan Love it! It's BEAUTIFUL! Fan nice and smooth, quiet! Definitely recommend May 11, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice fan, but difficult to install light kit I just finished installing this fan. The installation was fine except for the light kit which was extremely difficult. After making the plug connection, you're supposed to stuff all the wiring into the lamp fixture and re-attach the fixture to the fan body with 4 screws which sounds easy enough. The problem is that there is not quite enough space to fit the plug and wiring inside the light housing with the switches and everything else that is inside the housing. You try to make the plug and wiring fit inside without crushing the other parts. Then, once you manage to do that, it's still such a tight fit that you have to press as hard as you can to get the screw holes to line up, then somehow manage to get the tiny screws threaded with your one free hand. This step took almost an hour, believe it or not, and you will drop the screws numerous times and have to hunt them down. I felt lucky none of the switches inside the light housing were damaged from the process. This problem could have easily been avoided by designing the light housing to have a little more space for the wiring and switches. Also, I tried using LED C7 night light bulbs for the lights above the fan motor. All bulbs were tested and worked, however the only place an LED bulb would work was in the first socket of 4 in the wiring series. The three sockets that are wired from the main socket would not work with LED night light bulbs, so I had to switch back to incandescent bulbs. Not being able to use LED in the upper lamp was a disappointment. LED bulbs work fine in the main light fixture of course. The C7 night light bulbs are accessed by unscrewing 2 screws on individual trapdoors for each light socket. Since I wasn't able to use LED bulbs, I'll be changing the C7 night light bulbs more often than I had hoped. I'm going to just leave the 2 screws out of the trapdoors so I can easily flip the trapdoor up to change bulbs. The fan is a nice looking fixture, and other than the light kit, it was easy to install. . April 30, 2016
