Customer Reviews

Amazon Teak 112 in. Double Extension Patio Dining Table-DISCONTINUED is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Legs split apart "I bought this table after the glowing reviews and did not want to spend more than the 2500$ including 10 chairs. The table is solid teak but it is a laminated product. Legs of table and parts of chair are multiple pieces glued together. Within 3wks everything began to split between the separate wood pieces. Shame, it is a beautiful table. Had to return it. I must say Home Depot was excellent about the whole return. My advice is to spent alittle more and get a table constructed without this flaw." Same exact thing happened to me as this reviewer. Only mine was after 6 months later or so. HD told me to contact the vendor, which I did. I sent them pics as requested and they refunded the total cost of hte table. I only paid for the chairs. I thought this was fair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Montana cabin deck dining The table was delivered with a torn apart box - thought the table was OK so we accepted it. Upon further looking the pole type part that the clever leaves hinge on was broken by the shipper when they dropped it. Called Home Depot to report this: They had us call Amazon Teak: Sent pictures of box and damaged part. A new table was sent, again box was damaged, refused shipment. Received new table, this time, box and table are OK. Just assembled it - easy, straightforward - a great table. The tops slide easily and the leaves pop up and then slide and lock for a really big table. The hole in the top and bottom rail is great for an umbrella. The quick phone and email response and care shown by Amazon Teak was great - not always best outcome - shippers - but dealing with a real person who cares and tries their best to solve a problems is what matters - and it is great table.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality, nice looking, very big. This is a very nice table. Heavy, good quality. Looks good. But the leaves do not store flat against the underside of the table. Rather, they are at an angle. So, it doesn't look right when the leaves are not being used. But, you could just store the leaves elsewhere which is what we are doing. If you have the room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost perfect I ordered this table and it was shipped using Estes Express. I checked it out in the truck and the shipping box was seriously damaged. I inspected the table and it was scratched. I refused the shipment. I called Home Depot, indicated that I had refused shipment and asked for a new table to be sent. I also asked for better packaging and double-box. I did not expect them to follow through with this request. They were very courteous and offered an additional 20% discount on the already reduced price once I accepted delivery of the new table. They even gave me an instant refund on the damaged table, once they called Estes to confirm it was en route back to the warehouse. The new table arrived and I inspected it. To my surprise, the new table WAS double-boxed, and had a lot of extra packaging. I was astounded by how well it was packaged. It didn't have a scratch on it. I assembled it in 45 minutes by following the excellent instructions (rubber mallet is essential). Assembly was easy and the table is VERY solid. It started to rain once the table was done and I enjoyed watching the rain bead up on the surface. This table is BEAUTIFUL and slides open and shut easily. The hardware provided was good quality. The extension stores neatly under the center of the table, completely out of the way. Once extended, this table can comfortably sit 12, and would not be hard to fit 16 if you have benches. We have long built-in benches on our deck, which is perfect fit for this table. I am very psyched with the table AND the excellent service from Home Depot on the purchase. Grade: A- (for the first table being damaged)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Value I already had a collection of teak furniture, so I was concerned that this table would be too dark and red -- it wasn't. It looks like my other furniture after it has been cleaned and oiled; I have never let my old furniture turn gray. Yes, you can keep it golden for at least 30 years. It took a long time to get delivery, mostly because the local delivery company, SEKO, forgot to call me and tell me it was in. However, it was delivered in excellent shape, and was easy to put together -- as long as there were two of us. It didn't slide very well until I waxed the rails (a used candle would work). My other teak is of varying weights and quality. This table equates to the mid-level quality (thus the 4 rather than 5 rating), but looks good with my very best, heavy chairs. I suspect that a table of equivalent size that is as heavy and thick as my best teak would be prohibitively heavy. This table easily seats 10, and could seat 12 if you used plain benches or small scale side chairs. It was a plus that it was lightly oiled, but I do recommend immediately adding several light coats of a good teak oil. (A thick coat will goo-up and never dry nicely). Home Depot's Teak Oil has held up well. I'm also going to try putting a marine grade sealer on it (from a marine development and research company.) since it is going to be in the direct sun so much. Hopefully, this will reduce the frequency with which I have to bleach it clean (10% solution works), sand it, (very fine paper) and reoil it. I did a LOT of comparison shopping, and this was by far the best deal, considering the size and extension flexibility. Similar tables cost $400 just for the delivery, and the cheapest was over $2,000, and several inches shorter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Teak extension Table Very nice table went together with a little difficulty but after calling customer service and sawing off a dowel in order to turn the center piece all was well. Looks great, leaves work well. The leaves also have umbrella holes so it does not look like the picture when opened. There are additional plugs for them but cannot imagine what the purpose would be for the additional holes. Is going to require something unique on the table to cover all the holes when fully extended. Maybe if you wanted to run power up from below for little lamps???

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow ! Seats 10 I ordered this table thinking it would be great for 8 people. Well, it extends enough to seat 10 people. So... I ordered two more chairs. Easy to assemble. Directions state that two people should assemble the table. I did it myself. You know "women" with the knowledge of balance and using an old table to hold the table top in place. I was able to easily slip the table top into place. I love this beautiful table.
