Customer Reviews

Rated 2.8 out of 5 by 30 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by We have had this set for 4 years and love it! My wife and I bought this set 4 years ago and still love it. The build quality is great and it's standing up to the time and weather with no issues. I don't remember how long it took to assemble, but it wasn't all that long. We live in Ohio and do not cover the table or chairs in the winter, leaving them outside in the elements. We do apply wood protector every other year and this helps keep the color in the wood. I have also decided to take a hand sander to the arms of the chairs and the rim of the table to smooth it out a little, but nothing more than a few minutes worth of work. Overall, this has been a great set for a good price and we are more than happy with our purchase. March 12, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by At first blush - Absolutely great Granted, I have only had this dining set for a couple of weeks. The assembly was a little challenge and not necessarily IKEA-style, but, I wasn't too bothered by that. After putting it all together, this dining set is worth every penny you paid for it. Its both gorgeous and sturdy. Frankly, I didn't find a dining set of this quality and looks in even some of the premium patio furniture stores...and the ones I liked were all over $4K. So, this one is a super great deal. I highly recommend it. Now we will see if this set will be able to stand up to the test of time. April 24, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Looks nice at first.. chairs fall apart It's a beautiful set, not too hard to put together and pretty comfortable... but the chairs start falling apart after about a year. They are not solid teak but strips glued together... and the strips start splitting apart, especially the chair legs. The table has done better than the chairs but the beginning of splits in the legs have appeared as well. I have used wood glue and clamps to rebond the pieces that fall off the chairs, but WHAT A PAIN! In the future, I'll buy elsewhere!!! I only give it two stars, because we have enjoyed it and the table isn't as bad as the chairs. April 21, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Unfortunately not weather proof, laminatons separate We purchased this product in the spring of 2011, and really liked it at first. Unfortunately, as many others have experienced, it soon began to delaminate. This is NOT solid wood, but rather laminated (glued) strips of wood. Ordinarily, I have no problem with laminated wood, but the adhesive used is apparently not weatherproof. Imagine that, on OUTDOOR furniture! Now, in January of 2013, I was checking the furniture in preparation for spring, and I'll have plenty of work to do this year regluing the separations with epoxy. Almost every piece has separated laminations. January 26, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Looked great at first.. Purchased this set in the spring of 2010. Unfortunately I broke my foot shortly thereafter, so I did not put the set together until last (2011) spring. Went together without issue and looked wonderful!! However, it did not take long for problems to appear. Cracks first appeared in the legs & backs of the chairs where the pieces had been glued together, these have now, as of spring 2012, developed into large splits that are on the verge of coming apart. Do Not Buy This Set unless you want some very expensive firewood! March 19, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Loving my teak set through the Texas heat! This begins year 2 with this set. It survived the brutal 100+ degree heat of Texas all last summer! It was a little time consuming to put together but I only had a screwdriver and not the power tool kind. I bought seat and back cushions and it is fanulous. We are a big family, ie tall and large, and we all fit comfortably for all those bbq meals. Very sturdy too will definitely not blow over! just put on some teak oil and it looks brand new. Could not be happier. Beats the crud out of the other flimsy sets! March 15, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful and durable! We bought this dining set in 2007 and have been so happy with it. We kept it outside uncovered for a while and then decided to invest in a nice heavy canvas cover to protect the wood finish after about two years. We lightly sand down the surfaces to smooth them out and then re-stain the wood using teak oil every year or so and it looks as good as new. We haven't had any issues with cracks or splitting. We love this set and are so glad we spent the money to buy something nice and of superior quality. January 17, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by A one season set. As other people stated, the wood on the chairs started to separate during the second season. On the third season we couldn't use the chairs anymore and had to replace them. They are very cheaply made from pieces of wood glued together instead of being made of whole pieces, which you cannot tell when buying on-line. If I knew that I wouldn't buy. Save yourself a $1000 - don't buy this set. Home Depot should remove this product from their line. BTW - the set was completely covered during winter. June 26, 2012
