Customer Reviews

Amazon Teak Patio Rocking Chair-DISCONTINUED is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 48.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy assembly, solid product! So far so good! Very satisfied with the purchase and delivery experience. Solid, heavy chair that was simple to assemble if you can read instructions and pay attention. Was looking for a durable chair for a western-facing covered porch and was going to go with the competition's $88 cheapie until I read the reviews. Glad I spent the extra $62 because I got a chair that'll last due to the type of wood used to make it. Also, the joints are not reinforced by screws that'll eventually work themselves loose, rather by mortise and tenon joinery and pegs. I anticipate a linseed oil application annually to keep the color and condition of the wood.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful and easy to assemble I bought two of these rockers for my deck. The rockers were very easy to assemble. You'll definitely need a rubber mallet and extra glue (if you want a decent amount of glue for each hole). I'd also recommend having two people for assembly. The wood is rock hard and beautiful. I'm hoping it'll last for years in the hot sun and weather. We also purchased teak oil as recommended. The back of the rocker is flat but a thin chair pad makes it quite comfortable. What a fantastic buy!! Super value for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Rocking Chair I was / am extremely pleased with this purchase. These are great chairs for the price. They are heavy and well built. Their color and grain is beautiful. We had a little trouble putting the first chair together (the crossbraces that go under the seat are cut at a slight angle and if you don't insert them in so they angle out- it is difficult to get the front section on). Once we figured that out- the next four chairs were a breeze to put together. Our chairs were delivered late afternoon and we had five new rocking chairs on our front porch before dark that night! I have always been a teak fan and devotee, and now I have teak inside and out!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Despite the fact I now live in the Midwest, I still think I live in the South, where a rocker on the front porch is considered a necessity, not a luxury. This is my second Hampton Bay Amazon Teak Rocker from The Home Depot. My wife insisted we purchase another one after the first. One of the most comfortable rockers I've ever sat in. It's easy to assemble. I encourage everyone to treat it with linseed oil as recommended at least twice a year to maintain its beautiful warm color. If I had a bigger porch, I'd purchase a couple more of these fine porch rockers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent value Quality of this chair is very good. The assembly was very easy... it took about 5 minutes to assemble and a day for the wood glue to completely dry and set. I have been using this chair for a few weeks now and it is very comfortable. So far it seems to be very stable and seems to hold up to weather very well. Very good value for the quality and ease of assembly. I would definitely recommend this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice chairs, really easy to put together. We bought two fro our front porch. I do wish they had a little contour for your back or bottom but some that just gives me an opportunity to accessorize them with some cute cushions or throw pillows. Overall great purchase and value.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Assembly Nightmare Although this product is beautiful high up on the shelf at Home Depot, it is a nightmare when you get it home. We bought two and had the same problem with both. The pieces do not fit together very well and you have to hit them really hard to get them to fit into place. My husband puts things like this together all the time and we never have any problems. Pieces flaked off and the wood cracked even when using a thick ragg folded several times to try to keep from damaging the piece. I definitely do not recommend this item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good deal Very nice chairs, easy to assemble. Solid product. Got 2 chairs, wood grain and color are the same. Not enough glue provided though, but any wood glue is OK. I inquired about the FSC certificate. Forestworld is the distributing company. I had a good contact with them. their FSC certificate SW-COC-064 does not clearly indicates teak or Dipteryx odorata in their list or certified woods, but I was told that up date was on the way.
