Hoy to open?

I know it sound unbelievable, but I cannot find how to open, I want to replace the bulb?

We just installed 37 of these in our office and 7 have already had the ballast go out. What may be the cause?

How many lumens does light give off?

SOLID BACK

Does it have a solid steel back (top), or are the tubes open to the ceiling?

Lens in fixture looks to be cut too short and this results in the lens falling out and breaking on the customers garage floor

The customer's garage door may be causing a vibration which is causing the lens to fall out and crash to the floor. Since there is no way to buy replacement lenses at our closest Home Depot, the customers keeps having to buy whole new fixtures. Do you carry brackets of any kind which would be screwed into the ceiling, over the light fixture, which would catch the lens, if it falls out? Or can replacement lenses be ordered directly from Hampton Bay?
Asked by: SG
We have have had a similar problem. Our light is in the kitchen. It was difficult to get the lens to stay in place when we first put the light up. We should have suspected it would not stay. When our treadmill was used in a room above the kitchen, the lens fell out and broke. This seems to be a design problem. SP

Can I use led bulbs in this fixture?

Asked by: jf
I successfully converted mine, but the kit I used required rewiring the lamp holders. Unfortunately the wiring is not accessible without removing the lamp holders in this fixture. And once removed and opened up to remove the shunt wires, every single lamp holder broke. And unfortunately I was not able to find the same butt-on style lamp holders for purchase anywhere, so I had to find a way to affix the low profile tombstone lamp holders from the LED conversion kit to the fixture. I would highly recommend staying with fluorescent tubes if you have this fixture unless you can find some drop-in retrofit LED bulbs that don't require rewiring the fixture.

Electronic ballast

According to the sign in the store, this light has an electronic ballast, but I can not find anything on the box or on the web to confirm this. I was going to buy a cheaper light fixture when I saw the sign. It is important for the light to have very little electronic noise due to our application.

Aranda 4-Light Brushed Nickel Linear Fluorescent Ceiling Flushmount is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 49.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed in the quality The light was relatively easy to install and I really liked the look of the light as well as the price. I have owned the light for less than Five years and the ballasts have quit working. So now I have to replace the ballasts or the light. Very disappointing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wouldn't buy again Bought 20 of these about 5yrs ago. The lenses are about inch short causing them to fall out so I had to put clear tape on them. Now the ballast are going out and it causes the bulbs to go out also. Have replaced 3 so far and another one just went. I can understand the bulbs going out but not the ballast and the bulbs at the same time. These were put in a retail shop and two people were almost hit by the falling lenses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great light, excellent value I purchased this light fixture at my local home depot last night and had it installed in under three hours. I was 15' up on a ladder installing on a vaulted ceiling, so it is very nice that the screw cutouts in the fixture backing are keyhole shaped--meaning the fixture doesn't have to be held in place while the 4 screws/anchors are put into the ceiling. The end result is beautiful compared to the two light builder-grade fixture we replaced and provides a much brighter and more even wash of light over the kitchen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from bright and stylish! Bought this to replace an ugly old fluorescent fixture in a rental house. Easy to install and the nickel finish went great with the stainless appliances and bushed nickel cabinet hardware. The 4 lights really made the kitchen nice and bright. The price, under $100 was nice too. I will be buying another one next week.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lens too short for fixture which fell out of the fixture. HD replaced the lens which I taped to prevent falling. Lens needs to be 1 inch longer to stay securely in the slots; poorly designed or cut too short in production

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good light This fixture is much lighter than the previous one that was installed with the house. Changing out was easy, and with daylight bulbs these 4 T8s are as bright as the old fixture with 4 T12 bulbs. And it looks nice as well.
