Hi Olivia, while there are a lot of lighting fixtures that can use an LED bulb, I always like to check with the manufacture if the product does not come equipped with them.
The manufacture stated that this lighting product has not been tested for use with LED bulbs.
That does not mean, an LED bulb won't fit, it just means what the manufacture stated, the product at this time has not been tested using Read More

Honestly, even the 34" version is already so heavy, it's almost a hazard.

Is it possible to replace the globes for another design? Does Hampton By offer other globes that will fit this fixture?

Answer:
Sorry there is not another style of globe that will fit this fixture. The place where the glass frame meets the frame of the fixture is unique to this fixture. No other glass fixture will work with this light frame.

Will the mounting box cover a "pancake" box that is flush to the finished wall?

I have an existing vent pipe centered above the new sink location that will interfere with mounting the fixture to a recessed electrical box. Will the light fixture mounting hardware cover a "pancake" style electrical box that is mounted flush to the finished sheetrock wall? What are the dimensions of the light fixture mounting box, particularly how deep is it?

Answer:
The mounting box is maybe 1/2" deep, pretty shallow. The dimensions of the mounting box are 5x5". I do have to warn you, however, while the fixture looks attractive & is fairly heavy by the time you attach the light bulb covers, the anchoring to wall, in my opinion, is VERY flimsy.

The back plate dimensions for this bath fixture is 5"W x 5"H x 11/16"E. Depending on the size of your pancake box, this may be acceptable. This fixture can be installed to this style box, but depending on how your box is installed, you may need additional hardware to secure it this fixture properly. Customer Reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 82 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Defective, Mfr won't honor warranty This fixture was installed 13 months ago by a contractor. All worked fine until three months ago, when the two right-hand lights went out. Replaced bulbs (compact fluorescent) and worked fine until a week ago, when the same two bulbs went out. When removing the bulbs, one of the bulbs flickered briefly and went out, so clearly there is an internal wiring defect. Called manufacturer (Minka Group owns Hampton Bay) and a customer service rep named Mac said no problem, I should contact Home Depot and they would contact Hampton Bay and a new fixture would be provided. After going to Home Depot twice and calling twice, I was told that Hampton Bay/Minka Group wants to know which parts need to be replaced and that they will not replace the entire fixture. I am supposed to rewire this DEFECTIVE light fixture?!!! Home Depot said they will exchange the defective fixture for a new fixture. Now the fixture must be taken down, go to Home Depot, pick up a new one, have it installed again at my expense (I don't do electrical); it will probably cost almost as much for the electrician as to replace this DEFECTIVE fixture. Bottom line, Hampton Bay/Minka Group DOES NOT HONOR their bogus five-year warranty. August 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Solid sexy design Well built with some weight to it. Glass shades and heavyweight metal construction are solid. Looks really nice with wavy lines. September 20, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty but poor design The overall appearance is what we were looking for, and the installation was simple and easy. The metal is thin and feels cheap, but the nickel color looks nice. The installation with the single threaded bolt is an increadadably poor design considering the weight of the light bells causes the fixture to swivel on the wall during installation and can pose a problem if the fixture is not out of the way. And yes, I did tighten the bolt with a pliers prior to installing the bells. August 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hampton Bay architecture 4 light vanity light This light is gorgeous. It also provides the bathroom with ample lighting. I would definitely recommend this fixture August 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful I didn't (couldn't) partake in the installation, had to hire an expert due to extremely old wiring and plating...so I can't speak as to ease of installation but this light fixture took our breath away! Once we got 4 matching light bulbs (not pictured, sorry about the terrible lighting) it transformed our bathroom. I absolutely love that it can be installed in either direction! We are so happy with this purchase. It replaced a disgusting 1960's vanity light that was basically just a drilled piece of plank and it makes an enormous difference! September 15, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Issues no one is mentioning All these positive reviews, but few mention the fact that only 1 hand-tightened bolt holds this very heavy fixture to the wall (should be two screws...top and bottom). If it isn't tight enough, it will easily (I mean easily!) swivel/pivot. I'm pretty strong and still wasn't able to tighten it to the wall as much as I'd like. I mounted the fixture so the lights hang downward. If you add the bulb covers (heavy) after mounting, the fixture will not stay in place, and you'll have to re-center and tighten. The single hand-tightened bolt is in the center, a design flaw in my opinion. There should be two bolts so it stays solidly attached to the wall. Even when adding light bulbs, the fixture becomes unbalanced on one side or the other, causing it to pivot a bit. Attaching the bulb covers (glass) using a screw ring to the ceramic sockets is very tough to do, since screwing anything into ceramic-coated threads requires a good bit of strength. If not done right, the covers will be crooked or loose. On the plus side, it is a handsome-looking fixture. July 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great look The light had a great look and was easy to install. Liked that it had standard base bulbs and would handle 100 watt equivalent . June 28, 2016
