CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 91 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Absolutely Beautiful This Asbury fan is absolutely beautiful and was easy to install. We replaced our old fan with this one that has longer blades and one light, rather than 4 individual lights that we all kept unscrewing because the bulbs were bothering us. Hindsight, I would have preferred it to have a dimmer. We will install one on this one, rather than take it back. April 21, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ceiling fan Just wish wood was a little darker. Fan is quiet and bright light. March 26, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good fan The fan looks good and is quiet. The only con would be installing the remote receiver. Definitely the hardest part. March 16, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good fan Got this for our large family room. Great price for the size and quality. Works great and easier to install compared to other brands. We did not install the remote since we have a dimmer and fan control and I loose remotes all the time. One issue, which was mainly our fault for not looking closer but we are dealing with it, is that the sockets only take CFL 14 WATT lights. Normally that shouldn't be an issue especially since the bulbs are included but we had a dimmer which is not compatible with CFL bulbs so we will have to change our dimmer to a switch. Heads up in case you have a light dimmer. If you still want a dimmer you would have to buy dimming CFL bulbs and a CFL compatible dimmer. July 30, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by This fan moves a lot of air on high and keeps things comfortable on low. The remote is nice too. Installation of the remote receiver was difficult. I like the fan, but installation was difficult. The instructions about installing the remote receiver were poor. The remote receiver slides into the mouting bracket above the ball for the down rod. The directions don't tell you this, but it is the only place possible to install it and there is barely enough room. Installing the remote receiver is even more difficult if your electricians didn't leave a couple extra inches of wire for creative wire routing. At one point, I was going to install the fan without the receiver (like a normal fan), but there are no pull chains to control the fan and light, so the remote receiver is required. Other than the receiver issue, this was a normal fan install. The specifications online said the blades were quick connect, but they're not. They're held on with screws and don't click into place like my other Hampton Bay fans. June 26, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Fan Nice fan. Some effort to install, but they all are that way. Like the various mounting options, the remote and the size. Arrived in 1.5 days from time of online order!! January 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Fan that really pushes air! Would have been easier to install had I not been distracted by kids and waited until just before sundown to finish installation. I forgot to put the collar above the fan that hides the screws, so I had to take the whole thing down and unwire it so I could. Had I not been the typical guy and just slowed down and read the directions, it would have been a lot quicker!!! November 16, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very good fan but not great.... Overall, I would buy this fan again because the value is there and it has above average appearance. Being a 60" fan it does a great job of moving lots of air and does it quietly. The fan is installed in a great room (14' x 25') with a slanted ceiling and replaced hanging chandelier so we didn't need to do any additional wiring or bracing. Though I've installed/replaced all the ceiling fans (6) in my house this was the first time installing a fan with remote control on a slanted ceiling with an 18" extension downrod. Do not expect the instructions to be very helpful if this is your first go around with a ceiling fan. In particular, the instructions on where to put the remote control receiver was a bit confusing. The only con about this fan is its not well balanced. It WILL require you to manually balance the fan blades to keep it from rocking excessively. With that said, the fan, once balanced, works great. We especially like the remote control. We have the remote control cradle screwed along side the wall switch. June 24, 2014
