This classic 60 in. Hampton Bay Asbury Gilded Espresso Ceiling Fan can transform its look with a flip of the five reversible dark oak or rosewood blades. Enhanced with a gilded espresso finish and a bowl style light kit with amber venetian scavo glass, this fan is a versatile option for most large interior rooms. In addition, it comes with a hand held remote. Uses three 14 watt CFL medium base bulbs, 60 watt equivalent (included).

Remote control does not work any more

The fan was installed May of 2016 and the remote control worked for 2 months and stop working. It is so high up there and I would like to know how to do the trouble shooting. Shout it be replaced? Is it covered by warranty?

Sorry for the issue you're having. To trouble shoot the fan please call customer service at 1-855HD-HAMPTON (1-855-434-2678) the parts are warranty for one year.

Can you reprogram remotes so one remote does not turn on all other fans in house?

I have 3 of these fans throughout the house. I thought I was going crazy. I would leave a room and turn off the light with the remote, leaving fan on. Then go into another room turn on fan or light, etc., then I would return to first room to find light or fan turned on. I finally realized that even the remote upstairs in my bedroom would control the fan downstairs in the great room. I have a 3100 sq ft home and I dont want to have to turn the fans of at the wall sometimes. I want to know if we can reprogram the remotes to this doesn't happen.

Thank you for your question. The remote and receiver have dip switches (located in the battery compartment of the remote and on the receiver itself). To avoid remotes controlling more than one fan, as sounds like your case, you need to set the dip switches in the remote and receiver to different settings. This will ensure that one remote controls one fan. It sounds like your fans were installed without changing the dip switches in any of the remotes & receivers. Since they operate on the same frequency, this can lead to one remote controlling other fans. The dip switches can be set to any combination of up and down, as long as the remote and receiver settings match. Thank you for your question. Yes, the Asbury fan is compatible with Hunter Downloads as long as the downrod is 3/4" diameter.

Why is it so noisy?

I hired a professional to install it and after a few weeks it became very loud when the fan is set to medium or high. It is like this with light on or off so not related to the light. I have it flush mounted to an 8 foot ceiling and no modifications of any kind have been made. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

I just called the number you suggested and let the guy listen to the fan over the phone. He thinks its a bad capacitor and if I can come up with the serial number he would ship out the part. How does that help me? Then I would have to hire and pay someone to install the new part. The fan sucks, I am stuck, and that's all there is to it.

It took my husband and I about 3 hours to put together and install. We had to assemble a down-rod because our ceilings are 11 ft. We can definitely feel the difference in the airflow of the room. The light looks nice and is not to bright to look at when laying down, but bright enough to read. The remote is a nice touch for this fan... I know another remote?? This one comes with a cup you can put anywhere on any wall you want to hold your remote, so you don't lose it. May 5, 2015
