Answer:
Thank you for your interest in the Asbury fan. The fan includes 52" lead wires for installation with extension downrods. We do not recommend using a downrod longer than 48" with the Asbury fan as doing so would require splicing extra wire and that can be a safety hazard. The Home Depot does carry a variety of 72" downrods in bronze finishes. The Asbury fan is compatible with any brand of downrod as long Read More

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Each socket is rated for a maximum wattage of 60-watts. LED bulbs consume much less wattage than incandescent bulbs, so wattage should not be an issue. Be aware that the larger LED bulbs may not fit in the bowl. As long as the bulbs is no larger than a standard bulb, fit should not be an issue.

We purchased this fan, Ashbury 60". We have a sloped ceiling and once installed, the fan is not hanging straight down. What do we need to do to fix?

Answer:
Sorry to hear that you are having this issue with the Asbury fan. The fan should hang straight if installed properly. If your ceiling angle is greater than 30 degrees, you need to install the fan using a 45 degree canopy kit. One reason the fan may not hang straight is if the ball is not seated properly in the mounting bracket. The ball has a slot that should align with a tab in the mounting bracket. Read More

One reason the fan may not hang straight is if the ball is not seated properly in the mounting bracket. The ball has a slot that should align with a tab in the mounting bracket. Please make sure that the ball is proper seated. If the ball is properly seated, you can often straighten the fan by hand. As far as adding a 72" Downrod, the Asbury does not have the necessary length of lead wire to be able to install with a 72" downrod. Read Less

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 110 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exactly what I was looking for It was very easy to install, a little time consuming in assembling the fan with all the parts, but even that was easy, love the look and light is bright, of course I replaced the bulbs that came with it, I am using the equivalent of 100watt Daylight LED Bulbs, glad I had the option to do so January 5, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor quality I bought 2 of these fans and am disappointed in the look. They both look very cheap and I've had problems with both of them rocking and making noise. Super disappointed as I was really hoping they would make the rooms in our new house. May 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good looking ceiling fan with light if you are looking for a well priced ceiling fan with good looks this is it. moves air well, remote controlled, nice orb finish.... This is my second buy after moving house! May 24, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hard to follow instructions I'm happy with the fan but it's only been up there less than a week so it's hard to say much about it. Seems to have better features than my previous fan but as I said the instructions are a little confusing. Then again none of the ceiling fans I installed were ever easy... regardless of how clear the instructions were. I just hope this one lasts longer than 5 years like the one it's replacing :( April 21, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very Nice Fan! We were looking for a big fan for our family room which is pretty large but we didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. This one did the trick. It's plenty big but not too big. The oil rubbed bronze finish fits in well with the decor as well. It puts off plenty of air. I would say the only possible negative is that despite being a three bulb light fixture it is not particularly bright. But we don't use the light a lot anyway so not a big deal for us. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 60 Inch Oil rubbed Bronze Ceiling Fan - Great fan for high ceilings I put this ceiling fan in with a 3 foot downrod. My ceiling is a slanted ceiling and we put it where the ceiling height was about 14 feet. I had never installed a ceiling fan before but this one was relatively easy, although the instructions weren't always clear. I'd recommend having someone help you if you know a "handyman" type. I had a buddy come help and it sped up the process tremendously. It still took us between 2:30 - 3 hours to take out the old fan and install the new one, but we were working on tall ladders and had to keep getting tools and hardware down on the ground. Plus we goofed around and didn't stay completely on task the whole time. If we were to install another one we could probably get it done in about an hour and a half. Overall the fan is a good fan. The fan blades have a different pattern on each side so you can choose which one you want showing down below. The remote transmitter was easy to install and work. The fan moves a ton of air on the high setting and is very quiet and doesn't wobble on the high and low settings. Mine had a little wobble on the medium setting. The light is fairly bright - and I think bright enough, but if you have a big room then it may not be bright enough if this is your only light source (this is according to my wife who apparently likes things much brighter than I do). We have additional lighting in our living room so this worked great. Observation: this fan does not have chains to adjust the fan speed. My previous fan had chains to adjust the fan speed and was also set on two switches (one for the light and one for the fan). When we installed this one we switched it to one switch - which sent power to the fan unit. We control the light and fan speed through the remote (don't lose the remote :) ). If you don't use the remote transmitter I think you could have the fan on one or two switches, but I don't know how you would control the fan speed (and I don't know what the default speed would be). Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really good fan I have needed to replace my two patio fans for a while and I spotted this in a sale flyer. Ordered 2 at sale price, quick delivery. Easy installation and works great. Easy to change remote codes so the 2 remotes control one fan only. Very happy with the fans. January 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice fan/light combo Easy to wire and hang. Looks great, no issues with balance. The only difficulty I had was getting the receiver for the remote control to fit nicely into the housing - it was a really tight fit. October 13, 2015
