Installation was a little more tricky than most ceiling fans I have installed. The fan motor is noisy, so noisy that I may have to replace this fan with another one. I will look to another brand in the future.

Got this fan for our family room. Nice fan but my husband had a difficult time installing this and he has installed many fans. Nit the highest quality but a nice fan and is quiet. Light us bright but not too bright.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MS Exactly what I was looking for
It was very easy to install, a little time consuming in assembling the fan with all the parts, but even that was easy, love the look and light is bright, of course I replaced the bulbs that came with it, I am using the equivalent of 100watt Daylight LED Bulbs, glad I had the option to do so

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Albert GREAT looking fan, great price ... only ONE tiny problem
FANTASTIC looking fan. Similar fans cost much more! These look like you spent $400 for the fan. Only ONE tiny little problem .... on the remote controls you can turn on the fan, on off and variable speeds, and you can turn ON or OFF the light ...... but NOOO dimmer .... :/ Like I said tiny issue ... but most fans w/remote control you can dim the light. Anyway .... I still would have bought them.

I bought 2 of these fans and am disappointed in the look. They both look very cheap and I've had problems with both of them rocking and making noise. Super disappointed as I was really hoping they would make the rooms in our new house.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nicorusa Hard to follow instructions
I'm happy with the fan but it's only been up there less than a week so it's hard to say much about it.
Seems to have better features than my previous fan but as I said the instructions are a little confusing.
Then again none of the ceiling fans I installed were ever easy... regardless of how clear the instructions were.
I just hope this one lasts longer than 5 years like the one it's replacing :(

I put this ceiling fan in with a 3 foot downrod. My ceiling is a slanted ceiling and we put it where the ceiling height was about 14 feet. I had never installed a ceiling fan before but this one was relatively easy, although the instructions weren't always clear. I'd recommend having someone help you if you know a "handyman" type. I had a buddy come help and it sped up the process tremendously. It still took us between 2:30 - 3 hours to take out the old fan and install the new one, but we were working on tall ladders and had to keep getting tools and hardware down on the ground. Plus we goofed around and didn't stay completely on task the whole time. If we were to install another one we could probably get it done in about an hour and a half.
Overall the fan is a good fan. The fan blades have a different pattern on each side so you can choose which one you want showing down below. The remote transmitter was easy to install and work. The fan moves a ton of air on the high setting and is very quiet and doesn't wobble on the high and low settings. Mine had a little wobble on the medium setting. The light is fairly bright - and I think bright enough, but if you have a big room then it may not be bright enough if this is your only light source (this is according to my wife who apparently likes things much brighter than I do). We have additional lighting in our living room so this worked great.
Observation: this fan does not have chains to adjust the fan speed. My previous fan had chains to adjust the fan speed and was also set on two switches (one for the light and one for the fan). When we installed this one we switched it to one switch - which sent power to the fan unit. We control the light and fan speed through the remote (don't lose the remote :) ). If you don't use the remote transmitter I think you could have the fan on one or two switches, but I don't know how you would control the fan speed (and I don't know what the default speed would be).
