This fan looks great and peforms well. I would suggest using brighter bulbs than the bulbs that come with the product. They are too dim, especially when filtered through the glass shade. Also, balancing the fan was a bit challenging. I would suggest making sure that the mounting bracket is level prior to hanging the fan. I used spacers (washers) to level the mounting bracket, which helped level the fan.

Looks great! It's quiet! Gives off amazing air flow!
My father installed it for me with ease. Was gonna buy a second since I liked it so much but it would be bigger than I need for that room.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by TheFanMan Not a big "fan" of this fan
I installed this fan in my family room a few months ago. The style look great with it's walnut housing and blades but that is pretty much the only good thing about this fan. Negatives? Many. First of all, I installed the fan without the light so I'm not sure if your problems will vary. First of all, this fan is very loud. Even on low it makes a very unpleasant buzzing noise. The other thing is is that it seems very unstable. When you pull the chain, it almost feels like the fan is going to fall on top of you. So if you LOVE the style of this fan, I'm not advising you not to buy it but Home Depot definitely has some better selections than this.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by dgoods Noisy and scuffs too easily
Spent a fair amount of time installing this fan due to it being a solo mission. Once I turned on the fan for the first time I hear a low hum from the motor. Extremely disappointed to have take it all apart and return it. The faux finish on the fan also scuffs EXTREMELY easily so if you buy this fan be very very careful putting in and taking out screws because the slightest touch of the screw driver or power drill will scuff the finish. It's a great looking fan, but I wish the quality of the fan was better. I wish I could also get a refund for all of the wasted time putting this fan together and taking it apart.....

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by robyn90 Great fan!
I picked this ceiling fan because my mom has it installed in her living room and it works extremely well for her. We installed this fan last weekend and it took less than an hour. Very easy to install, looks great, doesn't wobble and is whisper quiet. I can really feel the air being moved around...don't know if that's because this fan has a strong motor or if my old ceiling fan was just really weak! We had a couple of hiccups while installing when the instructions referred to such and such part, but it wasn't listed in the parts list or shown in a diagram, but turned out that both times it wasn't too difficult to figure out what they meant. I definitely would recommend this fan.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Lisa Very Noisy - Defective?
I actually bought 3 of these. I like the look and appearance, but we had a problem with all three of them being noisy. I'm wondering if they were put on clearance because there's a problem with them. At first we thought it might be the wiring or switch, which we replaced. We had the same problem on all 3 installations. We then took another fan we had installed elsewhere and installed it in one of the new locations. Worked without any noise. So we took the fan purchased here and installed it in that location, and it made noise again. Conclusion: Seems to be the fans themselves. Returned.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by BruceMN Nice Fan, Light ???
I just purchased this fan to replace an older fan in our master bedroom. The installation was easy enough and it looks very nice. The fan works fine.
I am not too happy with the lighting portion of the fan. It comes with 3 40W bulbs. 120W of light in the dark globe is not adequate to provide enough light for the room. I installed 3 60W bulbs despite the label that limits bulbs to 40W each. Even then, the room is pretty dim due to the dark globe. This unit should be set up for at least 240W of light bulbs in order to shine through the globe (or make the globe more transparent).
