Fan no longer works

The fan was purchased in Oct 2011 but has not been used a lot as we are not usually in AZ in the hot months. It was very hot when we arrived a few days ago and the fan doesn't work but the light does. Put in a new wall switch in case that was the problem but it wasn't. Checked out all the wiring and it seems good. On the video it states a lifetime warrantee. Can we get a replacement?

WE will need to have you send us the motor and we will either be able to fix the motor or replace it with a new motor. We are located in Corona California. How to remove the glass for cleaning

There will be a few steps involved in order to remove the glass to clean it. 1.Remove lower part of pull chains. Generally there is a connector in the middle of the pull chain. 2. Unscrew the 2 lower finial pieces that sit at the bottom of glass. 3. If installed properly once you remove the 2 finial pieces there should be a plastic washer and octagonal screw that holds the glass in as back up to the finial. 4.Make sure you are holding the glass as once you remove the finials and hardware the glass will just slide off for you to clean. 5. Do the steps in reverse to put the glass back. Thanks

can the parts below interior bowl including the bulb holder down be replaced. fan works fine just need redo on lights.

The reviews were not very good but I took a chance anyway and we made up our own minds. The color of the metal is so different from the run of the mill fans. It is such a good match to my living room furniture and tables. It did make a little noise when we first put it up but my husband adjusted the lamp a little bit and then it was quiet. Do yourselves a favor. If you like the looks of this fan, do not believe all the negative reviews. The lights are bright enough and it is definitely fast enough. Make up your own mind and go for it. You will be very glad you did and you will get many compliments on it.

Fan had a very distinguishable hum; let it run for three days, still had annoying hum; Worst than the hum was the poor design of the pull chain for fan speed control. Instead of hanging straight down, chain had two 45 degree turns in order to thread through the hole in the globe; chain was very, very difficult to pull, therefore, fan speed could only be changed with great effort. Very poor design. Overall appearance of fan was very nice; just too bad it had so many problems. Took it down; returned to HD, and bought a Hunter.

Can not turn light off. I rarely used the switch for the light so it was not from constant use. Glad I got it on sale but paid to have it installed. Previous fan was in home for approx. 20 years. Changed it only because I wanted a basic color.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great until you need a part! Love this fan! I have had it for years and it has held up great! However, when I installed it I put the light and fan on the same switch (1st install). Finally getting around to changing that and realize that you have to disassemble the entire fan to get to the electrical-okay..that works-but the glass falls and shatters. I just thought I could order another one and it is turning out to be quite difficult to do so. Home Depot will not order just the glass but carry ever other replacement part. Hampton Bay's hours for customer service is limited and NO WHERE ELSE sells the Hampton Bay or just the Glass. What a pain! I do recommend this fan just DON'T BREAK THE GLASS!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Would not recommend Loved the look of the fan and light. Light was much dimmer than I hoped for but I tolerated it. Problem came when the light stopped working. Contacted Hampton Bay for replacement light kit and was told I needed to contact Home Depot and have them special order it. Contacted Home Depot and they had no idea what I was talking about. Tried another Home Depot who disconnected me. Tried a 3rd store who quoted me the price of the entire fan. What a hassle and mistake. I now have a working fan with no functioning light. Very poor customer service by both parties. Needless to say I will not be purchasing anymore Hampton Bay products. This should have been an easy fix.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad Switch - Poor Service - Dim Light This was a nice looking fan and worked well until 4 days after the warranty was up. Then the light switch (chain pull type) failed. I took the whole thing apart, took the switch off to replace it but was unable to get it put back together as the light sockets were messed up. All I need is another set of triple sockets and I can rewire it but I can't find any on the internet. The way it is wired, it looks like the whole light assembly needs to be swapped out. I called the company customer service several times but I was always put on hold and never reached any live people to help. I will keep trying to reach them. Its likely to be cheaper just to get a different fan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We love this fan! This fan looks great and works great. Installed in about 2 hours taking my time to do the job right. The reason that others are hearing noise in their fans is probably that they didn't install it right ... or in the right box. You can't hang a ceiling fan from a contractor plastic box! Follow the instructions and screw a 2 x 4 between the ceiling joists and screw a metal box onto the 2 x 4. A soiid install and NO NOISE!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from have had nothing but problems I do not do electrical home improvements myself so paid to have two of these installed in September of 2012. Since then, have had to pay to have both pull chains on the lights replaced ---they would not retract properly. Now the one light will just turn off - whenever. Called customer service and they are willing to send me a part- but I am annoyed that I even need parts for a fan that is relatively new and that I will again, have to pay for an electrician to replace this part. This product is very poorly made and not worth any amount of money. I will be buying new fans - not Hampton Bay fans - and taking these back to the Home Depot where I bought them.
