It looks black from a distance, but is actually blackish-brown with tiny copper specks in it. Beautiful. Tiles are a marbled grey and light tan.

It is hard to tell from the picture if the bars under the table will prevent chairs from sliding underneath and people being able to sit comfortably close.

No---I actually bought swivel rockers and they fit perfectly! The bars interfered a little but the chairs still slid under and you could sit pretty close.

I am using sling chairs with pads and they fit fine -- actually a tad low with on the chairs with the thinner (striped) pads. All bars curve inward leaving plenty of knee space.

Because of the cross bars that hold the umbrella, chairs fit part way under table. This was not a problem for us.

LizC,
We have not had any issues getting chairs to fit under the table. It is a good height. We did not purchase the chairs that were "modeled" with the table. In fact, we bought the chairs elsewhere. We love the table! No issues at all with it.

The box is several inches bigger than the table itself. Do not know the exact measurement because the box would not fit in my trunk, so we took the table out of the box and put it in the back seat. I purchased two of these tables and had not problem other than the box fitting in my trunk. Table slide into my back seat with no problems.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 219 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice table for the money Assembly was relatively simple - it took me about a 1/2 hour by myself. I would give this 5 stars but one tile was broken. One tile was chipped. And one of the support tabs for the tiles was bent downward. I straightened it out with a pair of pliers. One leg was a little scraped up but not badly. Everything else looks great. All in all, I like this table. I submitted a request online for 2 tiles. We'll see how that goes. May 21, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Looking The table is very nice looking and seems sturdy. When it arrived two of the tiles were broken. Customer service gave me bad information on how to get them replaced. Took a few extra weeks and phone calls but eventually I did get the replacements. We'll see how the table holds up throughout the summer. May 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice size Love the look and size. Easy to put together. Only bad part is three tiles were broken. Seems like a hassle to get replacements so will just try to make them work. May 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Belleville 40 in Square Patio Table The service was excellent at Home Depot. The table was very easy to put together, we love it. May 17, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by unique, tile topped table very easy to assemble. sturdy when complete and looks very nice. different from most patio tables. the center tile can be with a hole for the umbrella and then there is an extra full tile if you opt to not use an umbrella. Nice size. Not too big and not too small. May 22, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Table The table arrived in perfect condition, and with all its parts. Hubby put it together in approx. 30 mins. All holes etc. lined up perfectly. The only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5, The tile that came with mine are nice, but they are in no way as attractive as the tile I seen on the bigger version of this model. I know that there are variances in tile. This is more then that. These are completely different types. No Biggie.. When I get tired of the ones I have, I can easily change them out. You can even change out to fit a themed celebration or holiday. Over all. Happy I bought it. April 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nice table This is a nice table for a smaller deck. My husband does not like the metal mesh style table, and I am not fond of the glass or plastic top tables. When we saw this table, we both liked it immediately. Note: the tiles that make up the surface are are not stone. They are some photo process onto a synthetic surface that is glued (or something) onto a basic ceramic tile. It looks a little faux in person, but the overall look of the table is great. If you wanted to replace the provided tiles with actual stone or a different ceramic, it looks like that would be possible. Table went together pretty easily. Only one bolt was stubborn. Leg levellers work great. The table does not wobble. We've only had this for a month, so can't say how the finish holds up over time. May 4, 2016
