Answer:
Most fans have a small switch that you move left or right for normal or reverse air flow.If you do not have a switch on the fan itself , it is not reversible.Make sure before buying a fan, read all the information first on the box to see what features it has.

I installed mine with 36" downrod I bought separately from my local Home Depot. It's not a perfect match but you can't tell after it's installed. Looks great.

Anyone have issues with light/fan coming on?

Since installation, fan has demonstrated a bad habit of coming on all by itself. I've come into the room to find either the light on or fan running and know it was off when I left the room. No kids and remote is always tucked away in the chair console with nothing touching it. Today, fan was on full force and I'd passed the room twice before and it wasn't on. Maybe I have ghosts.....

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 117 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful but not working! Love the look and substance of this fan! Looks absolutely stunning in my living room. Was working just fine after installation, but like 2 days later, the fan stopped working completely. The light comes on but no fan. Hampton Bay customer service seemed to think it was the "receiver" not communicating with the remote. They are sending a new one, which will require the installer to come back out, install the new receiver, and incur another install fee. Needless to say, very unhappy with the performance of this beautiful but non-functioning fan. Wish I could have given a good review, but here is the truth. July 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great fan Love this fan. Bought it for my living room. When I ended up selling that house, I bought another house (and another fan) and put it in my new living room. Quiet, strong, and looks great. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful and stylish This fan was easy to install, runs smoothly and looks beautiful! June 28, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Worst quality, Best looking fan Hampton Bay ever made Fan arrived with the box undamaged. Upon further inspection the fan had 2 stripped screws on the top mounting plate. One of the 5 blades has a half rosewood Half black blade. Then came to find out that Home Depot is the only contact for Hampton Bay I would rather have replacement parts than lug this fan a hundred miles for a replacement fan. June 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice Fan This was a great buy, easy to install and love the fan.The air output was excellent and looks great in our room.I recommend this fan highly and with a great price too that you can't go wrong with. May 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful Fan I love the look of this fan and the airflow is awesome! I liked it so much, that I ended up buying another one. May 10, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by pretty and nice style, low noise. missing important instruction and could be better Fan is pretty and nice. However it does have some flaws: you can see the light bulbs through the glass shade, it's not dimmable and instructions were poorly written in areas. Specifically you have to take the White plastic ring it came attached to the bottom of the motor down in order to attach the fan blades, this is written on a sticker on the White plastic but not in the instruction manual itself. Fan is quiet has very little wobble but we do wish that the light was dim a bomb it's very bright to look directly at and it uses two gu24 post bulbs and it did not come with a battery. Both the lights and the batteries are unique and you're unlikely to have them laying around the house. The style is great and it has low noise March 20, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bercello Estates 52 in. Volterra Bronze ceiling fan First, I'm disappointed on the color of the blades. On Home Depot website the picture shows it's a light wood color which would be a perfect match for our bedroom set which is oak. When we took out the blades both sides of the blades were dark color wood. At that time my husband was putting the ceiling fan up and he was working on it for hours. So I guess I will have to live with it. Then to test it out you have to use the control to turn it on and off and guess what.. it didn't come with a battery. So all the hours of putting it up and then finding that there isn't a battery to test to see if it works. So after we place the battery in, Now the fan is making a noise. My husband wasn't happy.
