Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TimMaia Great for my 6x6 gate posts
Very easy to install and looking nice. Overall great value for the price. I use these for my 6x6 PT timber gate posts. A note regarding the bad reviews that they don't fit on 6x6 posts: the dimensions of the light base are 5 3/4 by 5 3/4 inches. The light will fit nicely on the typical 6x6 wood posts which typically have the actual dimensions of 5 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches. In case you have posts that have the actual dimensions of 6x6 inches then the lights will not fit. Hope this helps.

There are several things about this product that ought to send it back to the design table. First, it's very cheaply made. 100% real plastic. It's going to warp in the sun and, of course, it's supposed to be in the sun. Second, and more importantly, it won't light up at night if there's another -- competing -- source of light nearby. Say, a street light 10 metres away...? Yep. Comes in a pack of two -- one of which didn't work no how -- and it's so loosely attached to the base that you just know it's going to be twisted off by a passing jerk.
I'm off in a few minutes to return the package to Home Depot. Wouldn't recommend these at all.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by FrankKing51 Nice fixture, needs more work.
Beautiful fixtures, good value, but a very short run time on the lights. I might get 2 hours of good light after a full day of sun..... not happy.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Gypsy Says it will fit 6 x 6
The only way I see to make it fit a 6 x 6 is to taper the post which I don't want to do! Waste of time and money! Will be returning these.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by none nice light but adaptor does not fit 6X6 post
I really like the look of this light & the fact that it's solar; exactly what I was looking for, gives the right amount of light for our deck. However, it states that it fits a 6x6 post when it really does not. The adaptor piece to use for a 6x6 post is only 5 3/4 X 5 3/4. It was a royal pain to have to cut the top of the post to get the thing to fit it. Then it had to be caulked & it doesn't look as nice as it would have had it actually been 6x6. If it states it will fit a 6x6 post, then it should actually be 6x6 & not 1/4" short all the way around.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Mick Serves its purpose but...
These post lights serve their purpose well but they are as cheap and utilitarian in appearance as it gets. They do illuminate well and hold their charge however the light is typical ice cold LED. For the money I can't complain because I bought another set of six from the same manufacurer only a higher quality with bubble glass and metal housing which are beautiful with gorgeous yellowish light however once they became wet they ALL stopped working. The hanging hooks on this set are not waterproof and the rain seeps in shorting out the circuitry. I wrote a review on those as well, best LED post lights ever but unfortunately all six of them are defective.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by WGHUNTER Very nice lights
I purchased 3 sets (6 lights). Only 1 out of 6 worked out of the box. Upon closer inspection they all had the same manufacture date of 06/2012 so I knew the rechargeable batteries had been sitting unused for 3 years. I purchased new batteries and all six of them worked perfectly. They stayed lit all night long and would still light up when I put my finger over the sensor the next morning. Gives more light than most solar post cap lights I've looked at and and the price of $60.00 for 6 lights made it worth the cost of new solar batteries

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MSDD Great way to cover holes in old concrete from 80s landscape lighting.
Have been looking for a solar light option to replace the old low voltage landscape lights. Finally - these fit over the "hole" in a concrete 80's retaining wall for the old wiring. The 4" base is a perfect fit. Will "glue" them on to the concrete tomorrow.
Wish there was something round and somehow more flexible for a base - I'd redo the 2 old "carriage laterns" that never work right also.
