Answer:
I went to the local ACE hardware store and gave them a glass pane from another fixture. They cut 6 pieces of translucent glass, (the kind used on bathroom windows). I use these now. Gives a nicer appearance.

I would suggest calling the Home Depot phone number that is listed in the instruction manual. If this fails I would contact the mfg. of this lantern via company website. I hope this is of some benefit to you.

My first lamp's sensor quit working after one year and a sub-zero night. There is a three year warranty on this lamp. I did check to see if the sensor could be replaced but found that it was in a concealed box. I merely took advantage of the warranty and got a replacement.

Customer Reviews

Rated 2.7 out of 5 by 80 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by I bought 3 in December 2015. All have failed. Pure junk. October 30, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bought in 2005 I installed at my previous home in 2005, worked fine, but price was about $17.00. Now its about $44.00. I guess they really improved it in the past 11 years. Very tight to fit for wires and wire nuts. We'll see if the price reflects greed or greater quality. September 12, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Motion sensor senses nothing After the second light I installed died I can't recommend this anymore. I had light set to turn on if it detects motion and both lights worked for about 3 months and then would not even turn on. At first I was skeptical about other reviews but those are accurate in the description about not lasting too long. September 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Basic carriage style motion sensing light for doorways. It's a clean looking, value priced light for entryways. It has an easy to use motion sensing function that I like. The only drawback is the assembly. There are 3 wires (Black, White, Red) that come from the light and are connected to the sensing equipment, they are 1/2 inch longer than they need to be, and cause a bit of an assembly issue, If they were 1/2 inch shorter, they would fold nicely into the open area above the sensor inside the unit. As they are, they stick out from under the unit when you are trying to assemble it, making it difficult, and you have to use a screwdriver to keep pushing the wires inside the unit as you are tightening the mounting nuts. I've installed 2 in the past 2 weeks, so it's not insurmountable, just something that they could change on the assembly line and save us 15 minutes and a bunch of words when we assemble it to the wall. It's obvious if you look at the back of the unit. I tried dressing the wires different ways, they kept popping out when I went to mount it to the wall. I would recommend them to anyone, just be ready for the wires. August 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Motion-sensing outdoor wall lantern Easily installed. Puts off just enough light for the area I intended. Very happy with this product. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good for the price Replacement for 20 year old fixture. Looks good and motion sensor works well so far August 6, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Soon Fails! Purchased and installed three of these. The first failed within months (goes totally dark). Second soon after. Replaced the first, and it soon failed. This product is junk. July 16, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Purchased for back door lighting Worked about two months. Took it back to Home Depot. It was purchased in 2015 so it couldn't be returned. Paid $50 for something that worked for two months and then--nothing. July 1, 2016
