I am not sure how this is mounted and don't want to twist it. There are two screws but those only remove the metal frame and not the frosted glass.

Thanks.

Answer:
"Bulb" is actually an integrated array of LEDs. Were replacement available from manufacturer, I'd bet it cost as much as new fixture. Besides, it does have a 3-year warranty.

Answer:
This model contains mounted LED's as part of the fixture, there are no bulbs.
When the metal frame is attached, the glass is pressed against a rubber gasket attached to the plate. If the two screws holding the frame to the plate are removed, the frame and glass should both come free.

Answer:
Probably. There is a small amount of space under the fixture base plate for extra wiring and connectors. If you are careful, I think it could work. I have never tried it. Before starting, drill out the mounting holes and use two fender washers to make the installation easier.

Answer:
Yes this can be mounted on a pancake box. The screws may need to be cut so they don't bottom out in the box.

Answer:
Manual shows standard octagonal box, but no part of fixture other than 2 bracket mounting screws and power wiring protrude into box, so should be no issue using shallower pancake box with proper length screws.

The lighting facts on the box says that the Light Output is 500 Lumens.
I just replaced an old ceiling fixture for a covered patio and this light is way brighter than the incandescent bulb (50 watt) that was there. So far, so good.

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 38 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Does anyone test before the fixture leaves the factory? This is the second fixture in less than a year where the "transformer" does not work straight out of the box. Does anyone test the product before it leaves the factory? You can probably guess my mood after installing it, finding out it does not work, taking it down, driving 20 miles back to Home Depot and returning it to the store -- how I feel. See my other review about how difficult it is to install. All it takes is to drill a larger hole in the base and add two 1/8-inch fender washers to the package to help with the ease of installation. Why can't the manufacturer make this simple and cheap change? Have they never installed their own product? Having installed over 40 of this style of light fixture I think I have some experience with it. October 21, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 0 for 2 I bought this light installed it and it burnt out immediately. I exchanged it and that one didnt even come on. I took that one back and exchanged it for the similar one that wasnt LED and it worked fine. October 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bright Light, Bad Instructions This outdoor ceiling porch lamp produces a ton of light. It is very bright. Definitely more candle power & light exposure. I honestly worry about leaving it on at night for fear that an airplane might try to land in my driveway (we live close to the major airport). The only downside is the instructions are less than helpful and require a lot of guessing. IT isn't easy to install this while standing on a ladder (your typical installation scenario) and April 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by You want Bright As you can see this is a great looking light very well made and went up with no problems. will see how the led holds up This is a very bright light . August 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by simple outdoor light if looking for a simple outdoor LED light this may fit the bill. easy to install and provides enough light for our front porch. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice easy upgrade Easy to install...took about 5 minutes. Very nice looking and very bright. Best bang for the buck for a modern LED light fixture. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent outdoor lighting! I have lived in this development for 9 years. Obviously, the developers put some items in with a "basic" quality standard. Well, my outdoor lighting has lasted this long, but sure needed upgrading. I chose the Hampton Bay LED flushmount ceiling light. I needed the ceiling lights for my back deck patio and a front door area walkway. (see pics) This was a great choice! Compared to the original lighting I have much more candle power & light exposure at night. I really feel I have made the right choice. Of course, it is said that LED lasts longer (many more hours) than regular bulbs. I guess I will get back to you on this in a few years? I paid a few extra dollars for this Hampton Bay LED outdoor lighting, but am very satisfied, 2 months after my purchase. October 5, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by LED Doesn't Last I had this 1-2 years and LED failed and just flickered. Sure did not save money over non-LED as I had to buy a replacement (non-LED this time). Did not want to hassle with sending back to manufacturer even though it is within warranty period. July 9, 2016
