Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT replacement with no ballast.....! As some reviewers noted, once the bulb is inserted, it tends to be a tight fit to get the clip in. I needed to tinker with the clip and bulb for about 30 seconds, lightly twisting down the clip. Holds snug and not a huge problem at all. Very satisfied with these lights as they do not have ballast to fail. Replaced 5 older ballast heads with these newer non ballast heads and couldn't be happier. Also, these lights come with the bulb (3 pack is $10) with the normal twist base not the spike base. Very nice light effect. Would most definiately recommend. December 1, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product I had a hard time finding this light but finally found it at home depot. Was disappointed when it arrived because the light bulb was cracked and I had to go buy a new one:( October 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect replacement for low voltage units. Works & looks great. Replaces transformer unit with 120 V unit. Fit & finish are a perfect match. June 17, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by No bad for track Lighting Not top of the line but not bad. A lot of contractors use these. May 6, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by To replace a burnt out bulb, there is a rim to release Inside the casing of the fixture head, there is a circular wire rim about the diameter of the bulb. It is a little hard to see, if you don't know what you are looking for. Press, release and remove the rim and pull the dead bulb out. The new bulb will pop in. November 7, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by did the job and then some No problems with installation. Lights up better than I thought it would easy to focus. Adding lights was no problem! July 9, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Used in a rehab project and updated the kitchen perfectly! Great addition to an otherwise bland kitchen space. April 23, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Looks Good, Works Well Just installed 8' of Black Track above my bar at home. Just bought a few of these & installed this week. Here's my rundown: 50watt, GU10 halogen bulb is included in the package, but not pre-installed in the light. LED replacements for this bulb are also available at Home Depot!!! Steps are fairly easy. Remove the silver colored retainer ring located inside the opening in the fixture where the bulb goes (no tools required). I turned the light can so it is straight up so that I could pull the bulb socket outwards to install the bulb. Gently pull the cord from the back side of the "can". The first few times I tried this, I had a hard time getting the bulb in far enough to re-install that keeper ring. Hint - as you gently push the bulb into the can, gently pull the cord from the backside. I also twisted the bulb about 45-90 degrees to get the cord that resides inside the can to nestle around the bulb socket & make it all fit. Don't forget to re-install the keeper ring. Installation of the completed light can is easy - put in the track, twist 90 degrees to lock it into the tract in the desired position & adjust the completed assembly. The head rotates almost 360-degrees & tilts. Two adjustment screws lock the tilting. Looks good, works well. I have mine hooked up to a dimmer switch. Being Halogen, it will consume a lot of energy & produce a fair amount of heat. More of a yellow'ish light as compared to a regular bulb that you can get in different light spectrums. Looks like the LED bulb upgrade is a great choice for energy conservation but it appears they don't work with a dimmer switch. December 18, 2013
