Thank you for purchasing our product. They are inside the lower part of the light. Take them out and put them back on upside down to use them as ground spikes.

All my outdoor items have a copper finish, usually from Rustoleum (hammered Copper). Is it possible to disassemble this item so that they can be refinished?

Answer:
Hi, if you disassemble the parts and spray paint them, yes it might be possible, but we can't guarantee that the result will be good and if it will be durable for outdoor use.

You do know that in the 'on' position, they only come on after dark. If there is other light (e.g. a street light), they may not sense the dark, and stay off. A photocell of sorts makes them auto on/off ... actually it's likely that if the solar panel is not generating electricity (i.e. at night), the light automatically comes on. Read Less

Answer:
Hi, thank you for asking. Solar products need to be "on" at all time for them to work properly. They won't charge if they are "off" and they need to be placed in direct sunlight during the day.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.4 out of 5 by 47 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by perfect addition to my new driveway! I live on a gravel road and so my driveway is gravel as well, I recently put some 4"x4" treated lumber down as a new border and put a fresh layer of gravel down. (the previous driveway used inexpensive landscape timbers and they had sunk a bit because the bottoms of the timbers basically rotted away in ~6 years time) Anyhow I had been looking for some flush mount solar LEDs but my search was fruitless so I decided to mount these on top. I used a 1 1/8" hole saw which is just a touch smaller than the mounts so the fit was tight, they had to be tapped in with a hammer, see my pictures. One of these did not work right out of the box and Home Depot had the company send me another and recently one of them has started acting up, it does not turn on at dusk, but if you give it a tap it comes on then it goes off again shortly after. I will call the number in the manual, well I am assuming there is a number in there. Anyhow these are very nice and I like them and I hope they do not give me too much more trouble. They are under warranty for 2 years so I suppose I don't have to worry. September 15, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Choose Another These lights are very attractive. The material quality makes them worthless. I broke two of them trying to assemble them, which consists of putting the stake into the holder and popping the light on top. The base, where the stake plugs in, is not sturdy enough for this role. The reinforcement flange that's attached to it doesn't help, because the base of the shaft breaks. See pics. You can hold a screwdriver against the flange from the inside as you push the stake in. However, you have to be so careful pushing the unit into the ground then, that you'll likely break the base then. See photos. June 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice lights Bought a 6 pack for 1 side of my pool deck. Look nice July 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Better Than Expected The dirt here is a bit tough - I had to use a shovel because I was worried about breaking the plastic stakes. Aside from that, these are bright lights that work well. The store associate assured me that he had the same ones and that, aside from needing to replace the batteries periodically (he suggested annually), that they last well. September 25, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Sue/outsidesolarlights I love these outside lights I actually have 18 of them I've purchased 3 boxes and I wish I could purchase 3 more boxesboxes it's just they are pricey September 20, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by not happy with this purchase I really like the look of these however the lighting does not last, I have had them a couple of months and have changed the batteries twice only to come home and night on only a couple are lit up (I brought 3 boxes). My expectation was they would last at least through the summer but I am constantly having to cut them on and off to get them to light up. I also broke two during installation. September 11, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by You get what you pay for! Look great, but the lights are cheaply made and like others have experienced, I had a couple of them break when putting them into the ground. I think they are a fine product but handle with care. August 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Look nice Give off nice light along walkway and around landscape beds August 9, 2016
