Answer:
Kat:
It states in the manual that Low, Medium, and High speeds of the fan are ALL running at 120 Volts.
Low is at 0.26 Amps and 10 Watts
Medium is at 0.37 Amps and 25 Watts
High is at 0.43 Amps and 52 Watts
I've read elsewhere that using 110 V in 220 V plug with appliances might cause burn out or using 220 V in 110 V may cause it to run slower, but I did not read anywhere in the manual to not use this

I've read elsewhere that using 110 V in 220 V plug with appliances might cause burn out or using 220 V in 110 V may cause it to run slower, but I did not read anywhere in the manual to not use this fan and its electrical connections with 220 Volt. The wires from the fan connect to the remote Receiver (except the ground) and then the two wires (hot and neutral) from the Receiver connect to your outlet box. Your current draw on 220 V should be about half of the fan running on 120 V, giving you more output potential.
The manual does state that the "fan be equipped with a 190 watt limiting device. If lamping exceeds 190 watts, the ceiling fan's light kit will shut off automatically."
Hope this helps...

Can LED bulbs be used?

This question is from Cailin 48 in. Gilded Bronze Ceiling Fan

Will dimmable LED light bulbs work correctly with the remote control circuitry in this fan?

I have tried dimmable LED ceiling fan bulbs in a different brand of ceiling fan with a wireless remote control and have experienced problems that required having to switch back to traditional incandescent bulbs. In that situation, I could adjust the dimming and brightness of the bulbs without any difficulty, but if I used the remote to turn off the light, the bulbs would flicker off and on rapidly. The only way to stop this was to turn off power to the fan from the wall switch. Incandescent bulbs do not have this issue.

Thank you.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 50 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by High End Look for Low Price This fan has a very attractive finish and the 3 blades give it a very decorative appeal. I was worried about ceiling drop and size (low 8 foot ceilings and a small space). It works wonderfully - is quiet and the light that comes from the 75W bulb is much stronger than I expected after reading the other reviews. Having a remote at this price point is a wonderful bonus. The light casts an appealing golden glow in the room. I have a number of other Hampton Bay fans which have always been great and I have never been disappointed. June 26, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by OMG...How pretty!! OMG...this fan is BEAUTIFUL!!! It is super quite and gives off a wonderful breeze. I knew that the light would be dim by reading the other reviews, but we have other lighting sources in our bedroom, so that is fine. I love it...low cost, looks so very expensive hanging from my ceiling. Thanks Home Depot!!! November 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I LOVE this fan!!! I really love this fan. I love it so much, that I am thinking about buying 2 more for our upstairs bedrooms and possibly spray painting one of them so that it looks a little different to what we have in our living room. I wish they offered this style in different colors! It has a very classy 1920's feel to it. I don't know why Home Depot does not carry this item as a standard in their stores. It is so much nicer than any of the fans they currently offer in the store, and for such a great price! What I really love about this fan is that it is remote control, so no ugly, cheap chains hanging down. This fan looks really expensive, was easy to install and is well constructed. We bought another fan for a different room before I found this one for $350, and I really regret it as this fan looks just as expensive and the light on this fan is much better than on the other one, and it costs 1/3 of the price! I really recommend this product, we are very happy with the way it looks in our living room. September 2, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing Fan for a small room It was first ever fan i bought for our house. For a small room its the best addition in the fixture, Perfect light and its appearance is like moon. Fan has different speeds . It will give your room a very luxurious effect. It comes with a remote so a lazy person doesn't have to get up to switch on/off. which is the best feature. Usually a fan is slightly shaky when its on but this fan doesn't . you will love its bronze antique finish. Shipping was super fast. December 4, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by very quiet Installed this fan in our bedroom. We generally like the look and really like the fact that it's very quiet and can be controlled via the included remote. The light is dim and the glass globe is small in comparrison with the rest of the fan unit. But overall we're very pleased. April 2, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Attractive & Sturdy Very solid and quiet motor. Fan blades are an attractive warm walnut. The remote that's included is great - - even has a dimmer feature for the light. My electrician had an easy install with this model. I researched bunches of fans and learned that the CFM number is very important. Even tho' this fan has three blades, it moves more air than some 5-bladed models. Do your research! The only thing that's a slight problem is the motor unit is a bit large for the blade size, so it looks a little out of proportion. It's really just been installed recently, but unless there's a big change over the next few months, I would recommend. Great product for the price. June 24, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Unique design is appreciated Most ceiling fans look very similar but this fan doesn't look like all the others in its price range; the bronze trim and light fixture are unique and make this a handsome fixture that would blend with almost any decor. It's in a small kitchen eating alcove so its smaller size is just right and it is very quiet, no vibrations or other distractions. Pay attention to the light bulb intensity recommendations so you know if you'll need other lighting sources in the area you're going to use the fan. December 20, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice looking fan, well worth the money spent. Very nice looking fan, quiet and easy to install, especially for a first timer like myself. Very happy with it, it gives an elegance looks to my master bedroom. Love the remote control, don't have to get up to turn it on or off. December 10, 2014
