Answer:
IDK how many, but it is very bright, like 100 watt bright. You will probably want to put a dimmer on it, just be sure the dimmer is rated for LED lights.

Sure they sell longer down rods. Hopefully your wires are long enough to fit or your going to attach extensions to them.

Answer:
Yes, a longer downrod will increase air circulation. I would suggest to use a 12" downrod, this will bring the fan blades down to around 7' which is ideal for air circulation.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Quality Our landlord had this fan installed in the kitchen / dining area of our rental unit after the previous Hampton Bay fan gave out. In retrospect, we wish we had kept the old broken fan--because at least it looked halfway decent and the light didn't cast a bluish hue on us and our food... Not to mention that the pull chain for the fan is impossible to maneuver--it breaks at the connector point each time we turn the fan on / change speeds, leaving us with about 1" of chain to work with as we struggle to cycle through five or so speeds just to turn on / off. Turning on the fan has become a major decision for me, as I know it will be days before I can gather the energy to deal with the pull chain again. It must have been difficult to install, too--as the handyman spent hours working up in the ceiling before he quietly slipped out the door, leaving a sloppy connection at the ceiling, and the plastic light bowl cocked at an almost 45 degree angle. My husband had to fix this piece after the fact, which was no easy feat. With all that said, if you like having the blue-light-plus-strobe effect in your living space, and you don't care too much about ease of use or air circulation, this may just be the fan for you. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by CARROLTON II LED 52" FAN The fan looks great, the light (included) is very bright. I am concerned about how to replace the light. My only disappointment is that there is very little difference in the initial speeds for the fan from low to medium and then it's really high. I would like another option in between. It was fairly easy to install -- we actually bought another one for a different room. September 7, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great fan, poor instructions This is a very good fan; no remote control. Installation instructions are not perfectly clear; I have installed quite a few fans, and therefore was somewhat familiar with the installation process. If not, I would have had to call the customer assistance number, which is conveniently printed in the instructions. A case of the instructions written by a non-English speaker, I think, since the fans are made in China, of course. August 30, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not like this fan. Huge mistake purchasing this fan, looked nice on box and the idea of a LED light was great. However, install was difficult for a professional installer. The fan does not seem to move the air very well. I thought I had it on reverse but that was not so. When you pull the chain to change the fan speed there is friction with the light fixture (chain runs through the fixture) You have to hold the fixture as the chain catches. The led light "seems" to be aimed up at the fan blades which creates and almost strobe effect in the room, which is incredibly annoying. You can stand under the fan and not feel the air moving. After 4 months of use, the light fixture is now crooked and looks terrible. July 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this fan! We installed this fan in our bedroom and love it! It was easy to install (took about 30 minutes to put together and install) and looks great. It is slightly larger than the fan we replaced, it makes a big difference in the air flow. We noticed the difference on the first night. It really looks great in the room and the lighting fixture is perfect. We put it on a dimmer switch so it is very bright when we need the light and subtle when we don't. The fan is very quiet, too. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love the blade installation I have only had this fan a few days,, I love the accu-arm blade arms for quick install. This allows you to mount the brackets on the ground then snap the blades on as a LAST step. It is a lot quitter then my old fan, moves a lot of air and the light is bright enough to flood the room with light. If you want to dim the light be sure you get a dimmer that is compatible to LED lights, such as the Lutron-Skylark-Contour-150-Watt-Single-Pole-3-Way-CFL-LED-Dimmer. July 18, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Diane Very difficult to follow the first step of installation instructions. A demonstrated picture would have been helpful to figure out what pieces had to be disassembled. Otherwise installation was average, but took a lot of time. Very pleased with the finished product. July 5, 2016
