I've been waiting to purchase this media console/fireplace since November when I first saw it go out of stock. I've been watching it for months and when I saw it was available again I just had to snatch it up. LOVE IT. It was easy to assemble, but took a bit of time. It just adds so much to our living room and I love the extra ambiance of the flames. The only thing I found a but disappointing was that it came with a few nicks and dents, but that is to be expected from shipping. It did come with a white touch-up pen so we were able to fix some of the obvious dings. So happy I wasn't disappointed after waiting 8 months to order!

This fireplace has added warmth and ambiance to our home. The flame looks so real, and the addition of the very quiet heater makes the room warm and cozy. We almost always run it with the heater on and have noticed that the furnace runs less when our fireplace is on. Visitors always comment on our beautiful fireplace; several have said they would love to have one like it. We hung our 50" television and the sound bar on the wall above the fireplace, making it possible to put family pictures and seasonal decorations on top of the fireplace.

I LOVE this fireplace! I'm a single mom and I put this together by myself except lifting the top on. The box is heavy and definitely need help getting the entire box into your home no matter how strong you are! My TV sits on top (for now until I mount it on my wall) and there is LOTS of storage space! Much better than an entertainment center! My girls get out of the bath and stand in front of it because it's just so warm! lol I love the thermostat options and the options for different lighting of the fire. I have a large open living room/dining room and kitchen. I keep 2 of the 4 heater vents 3/4 of the way closed in this large space and one completely closed and it stays warm in that big open space with this running. So basically 1 1/2 heater vents in a space that has 4 and with this electric fireplace we all stay warm in our living area.

The 56 in. Hampton Bay white media console is better than expected.
When the media console first arrived, I was a bit nervous because it was in so many pieces in several different boxes. It turns out that there was no need to worry. Every part is labeled with a sticker and every piece fit together flawlessly. It took me a couple hours to complete the assembly but a lot of that time looking for a short and a long screwdriver. There is one step that requires a very short screwdriver. In order to secure the fireplace insert, you need a very long screw driver. Other than finding these tools in my garage, the assembly was straight forward.
Now that it is complete, I couldn’t be happier. It looks like a beautiful custom made TV stand. I am also impressed with the fireplace. I thought it would look fake to the point of cheesy, not so. It is not hard to tell that it is electric but it brings a warm glow to the room, like a real fire. The heater is a great feature as well as it is controlled by a thermostat.
Great product at a great value. My family loves it and I don’t have to worry about my small kids getting burned. We look forward to our first Christmas with a fireplace!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Rosie Nice unit but it took some doing to get it right.
We purchased this unit online and had it shipped to the store, after reading several reviews. The reviews that talked about the assembly instructions were very helpful. (The instructions have you assembling the unit from the back).
We unpacked the unit and were very happy at the weight of the pieces and the wood construction. We did have an issue with the final piece. The mantel top we received was painted poorly. The piece had several areas that were grey, not white. I spoke with a very nice woman from the Home Depot customer service line who put me in touch with the manufacturer to get a replacement part sent out, The manufacturer (after two days of sending photos and receipts back and forth through e-mail) was unable/unwilling to honor the warranty by replacing the defective part. They instructed me to return the unit to the store. This unit weighs almost 200 lbs and isn't easy to transport. The Home Depot customer service folks said I they were happy to take the unit back and refund the money to my card in 5-7 business days and order a new unit for me,
I ordered a new unit and had it delivered to the store. The store customer service associate was great. When I called and asked if I could just bring the one part I needed replaced and swap it with the new one she said of course! We waited an extra week and a half for the new unit to come in. I like the fireplace, I just wish Twin Star (the manufacturer) would have honored the warranty and replaced the one piece for us instead of making us go through the hassle of reordering and going back to the store.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Aroyals Looks beautiful in our livingroom
We love this piece, it really looks good in our livingroom under our 55" TV. We had a smaller one but it looked strange under our large TV. This is much more proportionate.
I put this together on my own, from cutting open the box to finished fireplace it took me just under 2 hours.
- I didn't notice the pictures were from the back view, and ended up putting the wrong sides on (yes even with the arrows, I thought I was smarter than the arrows, turns out I'm not!) So pay attention to which side you are working on (front/back).
- Putting doors on - I couldn't get them to lock into place, I used a rubber mallet to tap the very back of the hinge and they snapped right on.
Overall this is a really nice, heavy piece. This is real wood, not the plastic stuff some of the white pieces are made out of. I really like the insert on this one as well, our old one had a grate cover that was impossible to dust. This is a clear solid piece of glass and much easier to clean. Bonus: the door hardware are the soft close style, they close gently on their own.
Heat feature: We got this fireplace right after our large flood, and we hadn't had heat for two weeks. We used this unit to heat our living room and it has worked great. You can set the heat to keep the room at a set temp. If you want to change the set temp you have to do it on the unit itself, the remote only turns the heat on or off (unlike our old unit where the remote cycled through the different heat levels). The unit is pretty quiet, and the flames look nice and so far we love it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cale Hampton Bay Chatham Media Console Electric Fireplace
This product could not have been any better. All of the cords for the media components fit in a space inside the unit allowing the cabinet to fit against the wall. My wife is so happy that she does not see any wires.
The unit adds a nice ambiance to the room. It is a nice piece of furniture for the beach atmosphere we were looking for, all of the media components, including the center channel speaker, fit nicely in the space allotted, and the flame has a nice realistic appearance.
We have not had to use the heater so I cannot report on this.
The assembly instructions were good. It took me about 4 hours to assemble but I am always very careful and methodical so I do it right the first time.
Overall, we are very pleased.

Fireplace came very well packaged and protected. The delivery man brought it all the way in the house even though I only had curbside delivery. It took a few hours to unbox everything and put it together which was easy to do. I bolts together very solidly and doesn't flex at all. The wood is beautiful and looks perfect under our 55" flat screen. The fire looks real and the heater puts out a good amount of heat. It warms up our living room perfect. The wife tends to cook me out with it. Haha. I would definitely recommend this product.
