Why this Ceiling Fan does not move any air?

After having this ceiling fan installed, we notice that is not moving any air. We checked the direction of the rotation. The issue is with 1 of the blade support (The inclination that is has). I can't believe HomeDepot is selling this. I bought 3 fans last week, but this one really does not work
Asked by: Matt
the fan moves air fine but if you did not measure a 44 inch fan for the space then you may have issue. Height and size have a lot to do with it. Or maybe you found the only one that had an issue? good luck

Clarkston 44 in. Antique Brass Ceiling Fan is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 239.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fan; great value; easy installation I bought a similar type and similarly priced fan about 6 years ago by Harbor Breeze that was somewhat difficult to install and seems a little cheaply made. So I was a little leery of this fan, but I enthusiastically recommend it. We will buy another for our third bedroom shortly. I've got average do-it-yourself skills (can install a screen door with a lot of time, but entry door is beyond my skills), and this was plain easy. The only difficulty I had was getting the light kit wiring into the housing, but I got it in there after a few minutes and attempts. There is no wobble on the highest fan setting. Only con is there are a couple small blemishes on the motor cover, but you wouldn't notice it unless you are taking a long look at the fan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fan! Beats Lowes equivilent by a mile Wanting to save a few bucks went with Lowes. It hummed and shooked after 4 hours of wrestling with cheap brackets and unmachined fan blade screw holes. Instructions demand you take it down every 6 months and tighten junction box screw. This went up easy because it gave room for wires, had a full circle base, all fan blade screw holes were good and screws with lock washers, metal housing just twists on, and I can change out the bulb shades because they do not screw onto the lamp socket like Lowes (bad idea). Also, this is UL (USA safety) approved, Lowes is ETL (China safety) approved. I could not balance Lowes. I did not have to balance Home Depot. I do not work for HD, or any agency. I just own a home. That's it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from simple fan We needed a smaller fan for one of our rooms and choose this one because, of the 44 inch fans, it was reasonably priced and had a decent appearance. There are many other styles that are better looking and more up-to-date looking, but they did not come in a 44 inch size. Some of the darker colors at the 44 inch size just looked cheap as they did not have the richness of the slightly more expensive fans that are available at a larger size so we choose the white option. It seems to work well for a small room. It does hug the ceiling well which was important to us since the room has a slightly lower ceiling height than normal.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Light Kits are No Good I bought four of these and had them all professionally installed. Every few days, two of the three bulbs in each fan burnt out (one even shattered). I received one new replacement light kit and changed it myself, and so far that one is working. I returned one ceiling fan. I am still (after five months) waiting for the other replacement light kits.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from blows through light bulbs like crazy and cheaply made Replaced 2 sturdy fans that had worn out with 2 of these fans. Not happy. Cannot get them to sit flush, they are wobbly even though the bracing is excellent (no problems with previously installed fans) and they pop the light bulbs constantly. taking them out and replacing with another brand soon. BIG WASTE OF MONEY and LABOR

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Ceiling Fan, but chandelier light sockets?! I have a rental property that needed fans in both kitchens. Since this fan would be providing the main lighting source, I chose this fan because it includes a three-light fixture. Installation was easy--no problems there. For the price, it's a nice looking fan, and very quiet. My only quibble is that the light sockets do not accommodate a "regular" light bulb--it is a small socket. I had planned on swapping out the bulbs that were included with cfl bulbs, but I have a feeling that this will require a "specialty" CFL bulb which can be expensive. But that's really my only complaint and it's a minor one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent fan The fan looks excellent when installed for the price paid. I installed it myself with help and it was easy and fast. It comes in white and the blades are white on one side and brown on the other. It comes with three light and they are very powerful

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This fan saved the day We purchased different fan from another manufacturer at our Home Depot only to take it back the next day. Everything was wrong, instructions were horrible - and it was a "5-minute fan" that after 45 mins was still in the box. This fan fulfilled all the claims of the first one, and was $30 less, plus we didn't have to buy a medallion, saving us another $20. Instructions were clear and simple, the fan is beautiful, and the most important part; it is quiet and the breeze is significant. There were no reviews, which almost made us purchase another fan, but we liked the look and we are so glad we took the chance. Buy it. You won't be disappointed. It's a great price and a great fan. Beautiful.
