Yes. Three speeds, reversing. Aren't they all? I have only had that type. PS. This one is much brighter than the old one I replaced which is what I wanted.

Answer:
Yes...3 speed
And it is reversible... but in my experience the reverse flow in winter time really doesn't do much good
What does work if you have hot/cold zones is to put your HVAC fan in the ON position... it will circulate all the air & reduce areas of too HOT or too COLD
Bu try the reverse air flow (UP flow) in winter... maybe you will like it

Why this Ceiling Fan does not move any air?

After having this ceiling fan installed, we notice that is not moving any air. We checked the direction of the rotation.

The issue is with 1 of the blade support (The inclination that is has). I can't believe HomeDepot is selling this.
I bought 3 fans last week, but this one really does not work

We just installed this fan over the weekend and we are very satisfied with the air circulation. It is installed in a small kitchen with a fairly high ceiling. The direction of the rotation is reversible. I can feel the air flow standing under the fan.

Answer:
There is always power running to the fan. Just like there is always power running to your television or toaster and all other items that are plugged in, even when they are turned off. The light switch just serves as a remote control for the fan.

If there is unswitched power available in the ceiling box, you should be able to install the light so it is controlled by the wall switch. Simply connect the light kit wiring (the blue wire) to the black wire that formerly fed the ceiling light. The fan would then be connected to the unswitched power available in the ceiling box (typically a black wire). The fan would then be controlled by the pull-chain Read More

Simply connect the light kit wiring (the blue wire) to the black wire that formerly fed the ceiling light. The fan would then be connected to the unswitched power available in the ceiling box (typically a black wire). The fan would then be controlled by the pull-chain on the fan itself and the light would be controlled by the original wall switch. There are instructions for this in the installation manual.
Be sure and turn the circuit power off at the main breaker panel when working with the power leads, and be sure the wire nuts or connectors are on snug and tight before closing up the installation Read Less

Sounds like the fan got wired to direct power (the wrong wire in the ceiling) as opposed to the switched wire. You probably have an older home that has the power going to the ceiling first as opposed to the wall switch location. If you have a reliable electrical tester/meter and you can tell the difference between a constant power feed, neutral wire and switched wire than you may be able to correct this Read More

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy install I've installed several ceiling fans in my days and this was the easiest by far. It looks nice and does a great job. The only negative is that it's a little loud on startup. It quiets down after a couple minutes. September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great ceiling fan....Great price! Had the old one down and this new one up in 10 minutes. Very smooth running, very quiet. Just what we needed for this mid-small size bedroom. September 6, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Fan Quiet smooth operation. Fairly simple install. I was disappointed to find the candelabra base on the light assy. Did not see this on the display, or the box until after I started install. Decided to give it a try anyway. I had previously not purchased a similar item at Lowes due to the bulb requirement (probably the same, but it specified a specific type which I could not find on their shelves). This item was however a little cheaper and 44 vs 42 so it was a perfect size for me. August 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Fan - Would Recommend Very easy to install. Good Quality, would definitely recommend. August 23, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Stopped working Have had the fan for one month and it just stopped working. You can hear the motor however the blades won't spin anymore. Don't really want to have to get up on a ladder and take it down but it's too hot not too. July 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for bedrooms Very cute fan light for my spare bedroom, great air circulation in an 10 x 10 area. July 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fan light fixture I had trouble removing the ONE screw that NEEDED to be removed and replaced. My husband brought me his vice grips and that worked fine. The screw went back in with no problem which was a relief, not stripped. Other than that the process was a piece of cake. It is never fun to install the blades over your head but went well. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ceiling fan Missing some screws. Other than that it works well August 9, 2016
