Is there an extender for the fan so that it can be used from a vaulted ceiling?

The extender is only about 4 inches. You will need to buy one and paint it copper if your ceiling is very high.

Would be nice to have option of pull chain, had to purchase separate remote due to existing wiring configuration. Perfect match for copper metal roofing

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fan for screen porch This turns out to be a great fan for the price. It is perfectly balanced and has 3 speeds, a light all controlled by remote control (in the wall switch). The light has a dimming feature with memory. I was impressed with the features. Beware when assembling the unit: The blades will not work until the light module is hooked up. Not knowing that, made me examine the electrical installation thinking I had hooked it up wrong. The documentation could be clearer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from vaulted ceiling I installed the fan on a screened porch that had a vaulted ceiling. Unfortunately, since the fan is copper, I needed an extension rod to lower it to a more usefull and more attractive height and there are no copper extension rods available. I purchased a bronze one and had to paint it to match. Also, the remote control is in the wall swithch. I have a 4 gang switch and it has been difficult to find one that will accomodate the large "work area" of the switch and also have three regular toggle switches. It does look nice up and throws off a nice breeze.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very attractive though a little difficult to install This fan is beautiful and has some nice features including a dimming light with memory. The wiring diagram was hard to understand though -- we had trouble telling which part was which but we spent some time on it and figured it out. Also, since the downrod is very short, it was very hard to do the wiring since there was no place for the ceiling canopy flange to go --we could barely fit our fingers in to wire it. Longer downrods in the copper color were not available at Home Depot. Nevertheless, the downrod length turned out to be okay and it is far enough from our angled ceiling (about 9 inches from the ceiling beams at the tips of the fan blades) to create a nice breeze at low speed. We had a 3-gang switch box previously and had two gangs open for this installation which was fortunate because it would have been difficult to fit the switch and wiring into one gang. We just used a blank insert for the gang without a switch.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from outdoor fan purchased fall 2012, had to build the roof for grill area (suntuf roof also from home depot) befor installing fan. Wiring and install took several days i am slow but steady. followed instructions for wiring and hanging fan. All speeds work light works, I really like it in copper, with plastic teak look blades. easy to balance, i like the remote as a wall control if it was like a tv remote it would get lost outside, or get wet. now i can grill in the breeze

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not so happy We have had this fan for about a year. The fan does not produce as much of a draft as I would like. It is not perfectly balanced and knocks when at high speed. The single light in the center is not nearly enough to light the room. We too were under the impression that the "remote control" was a handheld but only received the wall mount. Not too satisfied with this fan and may be replacing it soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fan! This is a beautiful fan - don't know why they don't feature it at the store - had to purchase it online. Assembly was normal for a fan - some fiddley bits - especially the blades - but quality of the fan overall was very good. I was afraid the remote might not work as the fan is outside and the switch is inside - but it all worked just fine.
