This is a great looking fan for outdoor use as well as indoors! It is well built and fairly easy to install. I have bought two of these for my screened in porch and I really like them. I will say the remote switch control failed on the first fan, so I replaced it with a direct-wired control and have no problems whatever. The fan is a little pricey, so I waited for a sale.

Know this is an outdoor fan /ceiling light but installed indoors. Wanted the copper to match similar wood colors in room and it looks and works amazing! Quiet and love the wall switch with three speeds and silent on off button. Had this installed by handyman and it took him about an hour. Didn't mark super bright because I am using a lower 40 wattage bulb for my needs. You can put a higher wattage bulb in if you want. This is a very attractive fan. I think it would work well indoors or out. It's very quiet and motionless when its on high and really like that!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Walt Copperhead Fan - Outdoor Suitability Questionable
Despite this fan being rated as a wet-weather fan and a description that implies that the casing is made of copper, the two fans I installed on an outdoor porch (out of direct rain, wind and sunlight) corroded in less than 6 months, They are still functional but they certainly don't look as good as they did when first installed. If you want the "rustic" look, then I can recommend the fan. They only looked good after they were first installed.

Really liked this fan...until I needed to change the light bulb. JUst twist off the shade..exceipt it IS an outdoor fan ...easier said than done... the glass of the shade and metal had fused..so now have a broken shade...not thappy.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ItsMeJen Installation was the biggest PAIN!
This fan is very pretty and looks great in my living room. It works well, however.... Be warned that this was the biggest pain in the you know what to install. There was no hook to hang the motor on while hooking up the wiring, so it was a 2 person job. The wires were difficult to get thru the pipe while trying to hold the fan motor steady, that at one point, we almost gave up. No wonder this was on sale for such a good deal, because if anyone knew how hard it was to install, no one would buy it! Only buy this if you have the patience of a saint, or are paying someone to install it.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MrsH Really look good!
We had a copper colored metal roof put on our new home, so when I saw these for the porch I simply could not resist. So glad I got them, they look fantastic on the porch.
My only complaint was that the motor was bad in one of them and I had to request another from the manufacturer. They were very good about another issue with another style ceiling fan, but have not yet heard from them on this just yet. Will repost if not taken care of in a decent amount of time.

purchased fall 2012, had to build the roof for grill area (suntuf roof also from home depot) befor installing fan. Wiring and install took several days i am slow but steady. followed instructions for wiring and hanging fan. All speeds work light works, I really like it in copper, with plastic teak look blades. easy to balance, i like the remote as a wall control if it was like a tv remote it would get lost outside, or get wet. now i can grill in the breeze

I thought the copper color and light house inspired design was attractive on-line and ordered three. The actual color is more like Home Depot orange. The metal casing looks really cheap because the color is so strange and appears "painted". Ordered three for a long terrace. After the first one was up --the other two went right back!
