Product was incorrectly address yet arrrived via UPS very quickly. I had two installed, one in each bathroom, to replace dangerous Hollywood style light bar with exploding bulbs. Love the frosted glass and curved styling.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by reikieagle There is nothing wrong with this fixture!
OK people here we go. First of all when you slide the glass in the fixture (do this before you put it on the wall) see if the glass is loose. If it is, gently squeeze the metal reflector until it is snug. Do this on all the reflectors until they slide with some resistance. If its too tight bend it out a little. Next DO NOT TOUCH a quartz bulb with your bare hands. This being said I get great compliments on this fixture. Yes it does light up more then down. I used two holes farther from the center to stabilize the fixture on the wall.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Laciebyte Did not fit in the space I had
For my situation, it did not fit. I have a limited space about my medicine cabinet in the bathroom. While it appeared there would be sufficient room, once the base was installed it became obvious it would not fit. The glass covers are installed from the top-- and there was not sufficient room to do that as I only had about 2 inches between the top of the fixture and the ceiling. Also, it appeared that if we did get it to fit by installing the glass and bulbs and then mounting the fixture that the bulbs would be too close to the ceiling because they put off so much heat. Then I would have to remove the whole fixture to replace a bulb in the future.
I had to call an electrician to do the installation because the person who was helping me could not figure out the wiring that was there.
I thought the product looked good, but had to return it.

This is a nice contemporary-looking light fixture.
Don't be fooled by the negative reviews. The common theme among the negative reviews seems to be folks who got into trouble trying to do-it-yourself. You need some amount of common sense if you want to tackle any kind of home project. You also need familiarity with tools and the ability to reason your way through new situations. You probably need to read the instructions. Not everybody is cut out for do-it-yourself. That's fine; there's nothing wrong with having different skills. But don't blame the product if things don't turn out pretty.
I use this fixture in rental properties. Any landlord can tell you that you'd be an idiot to install delicate, persnickety fixtures in rental properties. Tenants will destroy them in no time. While I wouldn't install one of these fixtures in a prison bathroom, I do install them in rental properties. And I haven't seen any failures yet.
This fixture uses 4 60-watt halogen bulbs. Halogen bulbs operate at a color temperature of 2900K to 3500 degrees Kelvin. This is higher than standard incandescent lamps (~2700K). The light from halogens contains very little red or blue wavelengths. The human eye perceives the result as a clear, white light. (That's one reason why halogen bulbs became popular in retail stores -- they make products "pop".) 240 watts of halogen light won't make your skin look yellow unless you have yellow skin.
The diffusers are lightly frosted glass with a random "swirl" pattern. There's no yellow tint or paint on the glass. The diffusers don't change the apparent color temperature of the lamps.
The diffusers are retained by metal clips made of spring steel. If a clip happens to be loose at installation time, you can easily bend it to grasp the diffuser tightly. Diffusers rest on the fixture body, so they cannot slide out. They can only be lifted up and out. A properly-installed diffuser won't be dislodged by anything short of a direct blow. It's not going to fall off on its own unless the fixture is installed upside down. I suspect that this is the problem for some folks.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by LoneStarMama Warning: Yellow Light NOT Good for Putting On Make-up!
I loved the attractive style -- until it was installed and I discovered that the Halogen light is yellow! What idiot ever thought that yellow light is OK in a bathroom fixture? It's impossible to put on make-up under yellow light, and I can't find any daylight replacement bulbs for it. I just wasted $75 and can't return it. Very disappointed! Note to self: Never buy any bathroom light fixture unless there are daylight bulbs available for it.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by rebeccaW I'm surprised by the negative reviews
I'm glad I didn't read the mixed reviews of this product because I'm actually quite happy with it. I had an electrician install it rather than doing it myself so maybe that is the difference? I give it a solid B+ across the board. It isn't super expensive looking but it looks nice and is a good buy for the price. I like the soft light and find it fine for applying make-up.
