Answer:
Yes, this laminate, which is model number HL97, can be installed in a bathroom or other 'wet area'. However, you will need to fill in the expansion gap with silicone or caulk after installing it in such an area.

Hello anonymous and thank you for your question.
This laminate flooring can create a slip/trip hazard on stair surfaces since it is a floating floor. So I spoke to the Technical Department at Home Legends who told me that you can install the laminate flooring on a staircase for treads and risers - provided you follow these instructions.
1. Remove any underlayment from the bottom of the laminate plank.
2. Glue the plank using one of the following products (follow the respective manufacturer instructions when using the adhesive): construction adhesive, liquid nails, wood glue, or a glue that does not expand when it is sets.
3. Reinforce the plank by nailing 1-1¼” brads (countersink then fill with matching wood putty).

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BEAUTIFUL LAMINATE! LOVE LOVE LOVE.. Sisters and I put it down in record time.. once you got the "hang" of it.. piece of cake... reading directions very important :) BUT ONE BOX SHORT ... and can't find it in store or on line.. ANYBODY HAVE AN EXTRA BOX they would love to ship to me? November 13, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Durable, beautiful but.... Inexpensive, more durable than real wood (did the "hammer" test & it didn't even scratch it!) Looks beautiful with our western/rustic motif. HOWEVER, it has a piano finish, making it high shine and picks up foot prints in the light which drives me insane. It is EASY to clean, swiffer & damp water mop, but the footprints...grrr! Should have been easy to install, but after 100 sq ft, my husband gave up and we hired a contractor to finish. I would have given it 5 stars if not for the footprints in the high shine finish. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Difficult to install I have installed laminate flooring in three rooms in our home prior to installing this Hampton Bay flooring. This flooring was disastrous. It did not snap into place as others I have used. The ends that join are flimsy and many were already damaged when I pulled them out of the box. I had to use a mallet on each plank to make sure they fit in properly. I damaged quite a few planks because of this. It took four times as long as it should have. July 16, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by This product looks really good when done but has some serious problems with quality control. I won't buy this product again. The quality standards are horrible. I was constantly have to trim the foam backing out of the locking channel of the pieces. One box was almost entirely missing foam backing or the backing was going diagonally. Literally hanging off the sides. I don't on how one could possibly have not seen this at the factory. I should have taken pictures, but what good have that had done. May 1, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Underlayment attached-1 less step Overall-Good. Have had it for a year and has held up well to my 2 year beating on it with toys, driving his trike on it, and dumping water on it. For the price, pretty good. Looks nice, went in as expected-not fun, but a whole lot nicer than carpet and looks way better too. June 26, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by almost every third box the first plank was missing part of the foam backing mostlly every third box a plank would have missing part of the foam backing or missing some of it. October 15, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed Put this floor in my bedrooms and hallway. Have had it for two month and found so many scratches on the floors. Very disappointed. May 7, 2012
