Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mike Most reasonable 8-top, extension patio dining table out there
My wife and I hemmed and hawed for many months about which patio dining set to purchase. We have a family of five and often have company over, so 8+ seating is essential for us. This table and chairs from the Edington collection fit form, and function, and the priceline as well. (similar sets from specialty stores wanted much more for similar furniture. Went with aluminum for the strength and to have a set that lasts longer than wood does in the Colorado sun.
Table is well constructed and easy to extend/contract to seat 6 or 8. We've gotten many compliments on the design. Chairs are also well constructed, however they weigh a bit less than i would prefer, but are strong none the less. The Slats on the seat of the chairs are spaced a bit far apart, so i would highly recommend medium-high density foam seat cushions, or you'll feel the slats when you'll sit down.
Very pleased with the product. Shipped well and easy to set up.
I have no clue why Home Depot doesn't have sets with the extension table. Have to build your own online, but that's easy enough.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Dee Not worth the price
We received and assembled the table yesterday, and are disappointed with the quality given the price tag. There are various marks/scratches throughout the table. The piece that pulls up for the extension does line up with the other part of the table leaving a fairly large gap. We also noted, once fully assembled, an umbrella can only be used when the table is fully extended.
We needed this table in a rush and Home Depot customer service was extremely helpful in making that happen. Unfortunately, the table just doesn't measure up to the high standard set by customer service.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by lb I really like this table
I really like this table. It is very solid. The leaf mechanism is very smooth and easy to operate. I've only had it for a couple of months, but is seems like it will last. I really like that the table top has an open weave pattern. Water doesn't pool on the table so it dries quickly after a rain. I only gave it an average for quality because the first table top they delivered had one of the screw holes in the wrong place and the leg wouldn't fit. However, customer service was very helpful and had a new table top delivered within a week.

Delivered in September 2014. Review written 12-1-15.
I live in the Chicago suburbs. While winterizing the deck over the weekend I was shocked to find that that two of the METAL table legs on this table had split at the seams. Please see the attached photos.
I used this table exactly once this year, so it literally sat on my deck undisturbed since September 2014. Nothing heavy fell or was placed on it. No one sat on it.,
And of course now I'm getting a bit of a runaround from Home Depot about getting replacement legs because, you see, I'm outside of the 30 day parts replacement window. If I had only known the legs would split like this I would have ordered spares.
Home Depot, if you want to follow-up with me, the order number was W289618433.

This table was all I could hope for and my best find for the deck. Easy to operate and very stately looking. My favorite purchase for the summer.

We ordered 21 Edington pieces. Yes, we did this even after reading all the reviews, both positive and negative. All high-volume manufacturers have occasional flaws and damage in their products, so we were not too concerned about the few buyers who expressed issues about an occasional poor fitting piece or damage in shipping. This can happen. Almost more importantly is whether the distributor (Home Depot) or shipper customer service personnel take the timely and corrective action(s) to satisfy the registered complaint.
Some reviewers also complained about the instructions being too difficult, incomplete, or wrong. With all that said, all 21 of our pieces arrived without damage or manufacturing flaws and it all assembled single-handedly with no problems, though a couple pieces were more challenging than others.
To offset the reviewer complaints of occasional corrosion or rust, I sprayed clear gloss Rustoleum on all sides of each assembled piece and am confident that will do the job.
