Installed it 15 ft up, on a 4 ft down rod. It's been up and working perfect, had a little wobble on high speed, but after balancing fan blade, solid as a rock. Had it 1 1/2 years now, so far no problems. Light could have been brighter, and no dimmer control for light on remote.

After a few months, we noticed the fan was getting louder and then the fasted speed stopped running. The customer service sent us a new part. This fan is installed in a 18 foot ceiling living room, so it was hard to change but we did it. It worked for another few months and the same thing happened. We felt like returning the fan but the customer service said they will send us another new part to try since it was still under warranty. We installed the second part and it worked for a few months and stopped again. By then it was out of warranty. Since it's so expensive to hire an electrician, we gave up and it's still in our living room now. We use the midium speed and turn the TV volume up high so we can hear the TV. A lot of times, I turn the fan off so I can sit in a quiet room even if Im sweating all over. I wished they had replaced the fan or given us a refund when we called the second time.

The fan is beautiful. Cons; very heavy! Operated by remote only.
Did not come with remote baterry, so we were not able to check to see if fan worked properly right after we put it up. Should make it clearer on outside packaging that batteries should be purchased at the time fan is purchased. We also had to buy a longer pipe because the pipe provided was not long enough to allow for remote transmitter to be housed.
But once fan was up...it was beautiful!

This 68-inch fan came up as a "Suggested Product" in one of my Home Depot mailings. I have been researching and looking for a larger fan to fit my 20-foot ceilings. The price was discounted 40%, and offered free shipping to my home -- so basically, I could upgrade my old, white ceiling fan for under $160, and I am not disappointed. This fan is elegant, a quiet statement for your home decor. It's not outlandish, too Victorian, too "cottagey" -- it fits perfectly with modern or rustic leather. The fan has three speeds, runs on a remote control, and you can actually feel the breeze on the floors when it's on -- which is almost all the time in my home. The motor is quiet, the light is adequate, and I LOVE the idea that I can swap out the globe (crackled and beige) for something more frosted or clear should I change my living room decor.

The motor on both fans were defective so said the electrician who installed them. Once installed and tested, both fans made such loud clicking sound. Sound will wake up the dead. That's how annoying and irritating the clicks were.

Very upset that you pay $250 for a fan and dont get a $3 dollar battery for the remote.

The ceiling fan's remote did not come with a battery and the globe wobbles slightly when placed on high, even though I had a professional install it. Most people would not notice it. Overall it's a good ceiling fan.

This fan is a beautiful fan and less expensive at Home Depot than Amazon!! It's a great value for a fan that truly moves the air in a large family room. Assembly was easy, HOWEVER, installation was a bit of a bear. We got it done but getting all the wiring and cover installed at the ceiling line was difficult. We've installed dozens of fans over the years but this one was harder than most.
That being said, it was worth the effort of getting it done. We love the fan, we would purchase another but would be prepared for the work involved.
