How do you change the light bulb?

I am attempting to change this fixture. I am twisting the white portion but it just turns the base which attaches to the top. I have also tried have a 2nd person hold the base so it doesn't twist but it still does not want to give. Do you have any advice?
Asked by: David
there are 3 thumb screws holding the glass onto the canopy. unscrew them by hand and the glass comes off. Be sure and hold onto the glass because it will fall off when the screws are loosened

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hampton bay Esdale is a pretty light, but the globe is lightweight and thin so i returned for the cheaper luray Hampton bay Esdale is pretty light, but the globe is very lightweight and thin so i returned for the luray. I am attaching pictures to help other customers out so they dont have to order both to compare like i did. Also, the copper accents you dont really see after the light is installed because the globe blocks it so its just a pretty almost black color that i love!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it! :) I Just installed this light today in our kitchen. I love the vintage look of this light. It is very nice looking. It takes one bulb, but due to the large globe size it took a 150W equivalent CFL which is only about 43W I think, but is pretty large. it makes the kitchen nice and bright. The only thing i wasn't crazy about is that the globe has no lip on the glass for the screw to catch. It just flares out. The glass there at the edge could be a bit thicker. I felt as though I had to be very gently when tightening the screws. I would feel more confident that it is secured properly, if there was a thicker lip of glass to tighten the screw around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome price and beautiful appearance! We live in Portland where Rejuvination and Schoolhouse Electric products are at our fingertips, however, we can't really afford the expensive prices they charge. I love the look of the vintage lighting and knew immediately when I saw this light at Home Depot it had to be mine! It was easy for my husband to install and it looks great in our kitchen. Very happy with the purchase and it was about 1/3 of the price as the ones at the more upscale stores.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great light and price, too I bought several types of ceiling lights for my kitchen and we finally found this light that works perfectly for our needs. It puts out a good amount of light, looks great, was easy to install, and also happened to be the cheapest of all the others we bought!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quick substitution I bought this for a customer. The light they had ordered a similar fixture from a speciality store; it became back ordered and wouldn't arrive in time. With only a few days to get a light they found this online and sent a link. I was able to order it online and pick it up the same day from the Pros desk. Very easy. It looks the same. Compared to the original fixture, this fixture has thinner material, (thinner glass globe, less dense metal trim) and is lighter. it is also half the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great ceiling light Easy to install, puts out just the right amount of light for my foyer. The glass diffuses the light extremely well. It is even with no hot spots. A very pretty simple fixture.
