Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Kim19804 Flimsy, won't last
Unfortunately, we knew this was probably a cheap piece of junk when we purchased it, but we bought it anyway and we were right. We got it home, my husband assembled it easy enough, but after agonizing whether or not to take the time to take it back to the store, we finally decided it's going back. I don't see how this would even last one season, let alone the 7+ seasons we got out of our last one. It's poorly constructed, lightweight and flimsy. My husband can actually lift this right over his head. We'll be keeping our old one and replacing the expanded metal (wire mesh). Our old one is cast iron and built much better. We got it years ago at HD, but I don't see anything that they're carrying now of equal quality.

This was a $160 piece of junk. When we loaded it into the truck the door fell off and that should have been my first clue to turn right back around and return it. I took it home anyway and used it for about 3 weeks and then it started rusting, even with a cover on at all times when not in use. Returned to store for a refund.

Bought this on 2/10/13. Put in garage until 2/24/13 for storage. Built a gazebo and put it under a canopy. Rained on 2/25/13. On 2/27/13 I returned it to Home Depot for rust. The pan, screws, etc. All rusted! It is made of light metal and the screws where they put them dont get a secure tight fit, you touch it and it wabbles. But the rust! No reason it should be that rusty that quickly. Plus the 4 open sides allowed the smoke amount to be at a maximum level. Going with propane this time!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Schnitzel Really nice.....piece of junk. Disintegrates by itself!
Purchased this in-store a couple years ago. It was cute and fit my needs. I never had a fire pit before. I had to install my own lock-washers and re-assemble for better stability. It kept rusting away, literally. Used for 2 summers. Had to keep fixing it. Handle broke off. Now it sits with no front and back, chimney that caved in disintegrated! It's as if the cheap metal actually burns up. I did not need a door for this poor thing. All I had to do, was find a rusted-out spot and shove the wood in! The handles of the ash pit broke off, the ash pit rusted away, I constructed my own ash pit from sheet metal, it fell through the rusted base as well. There is pretty much nothing left to recycle anymore. It's as if it's faded into a memory. This cute fire pit rusts faster than a Ford! Pretty soon, I will have no proof I even owned it. It's as if the metal evaporates into thin air! It recycles itself!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by DV410 This product has plenty of space for a fire.
Putting the screws in tight spaces was the only flaw in this product. It is a great looking firepit and allows heat to escape all the way around. I wish the poker that came with the product was longer but it does the job.

Hasn't even made it through one Northeast Ohio weather cycle and the darn thing is rusting. Maybe a better high temp paint would be the ticket. Not worth the money
