I am a professional contractor of 50 years and I have personally installed hundreds of lighting fixtures of all types. I spent one day trying to figure out how I could install this simple fixture by myself. It's impossible!! It took 3 people to install the fixture and one was a woman who had thin long fingers who could reach into a space of approximately 2 inches between the box and the fixture. Someone needs to review a better way to install this fixture. I would never buy a product made by this manufacture.

I really liked the looks of this light and it goes well with any decor so this was a plus. We used it in a luxury bathroom and it really made a difference in the looks and feel of the room. I highly recomend it for any room.

This light is perfect for my dining room, and it is impressive and elegant without being obstructive. We did have quite a bit of difficulty installing it on an existing ceiling that had all of the wiring/mounting from our old chandelier.
If you are installing this without being able to access the space above the mounting, I would suggest you tie yarn or thread to the mounting screws after you place them in the housing bracket. This way, you can thread the yarn through the screw holes on the mounting (the part that is connected to the ceiling after the light is installed) and the screws won't simply pop out of the bracket when you attempt to attach the mounting. Not only that, but you can pull the yarn taut to hold the screw steady while you attach it, since you cannot reach above it with a screwdriver to keep the screw from spinning.
Also, we had to purchase additional screws (machine-type) as the screws that came with the light were about 3/8 in. too short for the mounting bracket (and this was flush with the ceiling.)
Overall, it is a beautiful light. Just be prepared for some frustration with installation if your ceiling is already intact and you do not want to put a hole in it so that you can access the area above the mounting bracket to make installation easier.
