Ed with Hampton, the Details section show that this fan is wet-rated. Please further explain your answer as it contradicts the Home Depot information for this fan. Thank you.

Answer:
Yes, but there is no cover plate included in the box. So unless you want to see wires hanging out, you'll have to get a plate.. I'd guess from Hampton Bay or a reseller.

Yes. Can be installed with light kit or without. (Page 11, fig. 21) in Owners manual. The glass bowl on the light is a snug fit so birds can't build a nest in it as my last Fan did.

Answer:
The fan has a rubberized (outdoor) switch for reverse. It only has one set of wires coming in, so I don't think it can be used on a dimmer switch.

Answer:
Motor is reversible by using the switch on the side of the control box at the fan. Light bulbs supplied are florescent and therefore not dimable

Answer:
Yes, this fan is reversible. Summer mode: if you're looking at it from below the blades should be spinning counter clockwise to push air downward. Winter mode: the blades should be spinning clock-wise to push the warmer air on top of the ceiling towards the walls and back down. If you're using dimmable bulbs then yes.

The wiring itself is super easy. It just takes 3 twist-on wire nuts (included).
If you have to get up into your ceiling to get the wires... that part might not be as simple!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks great and elegant Happy with purchase. Quality and value are a plus. Installation gave us some hard time but once installed, was worth it. Works great. Would recommend, won't be dissapointed. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great value!! We bought two of the Gazebo II ceiling fans with the brushed nickel finish for our patio at camp. These are a high quality fan rated for wet locations. The fans included everything for installation from wire nuts to light bulbs. A balancing kit was included but not needed since the fans run smoothly. The fan may be mounted flush or using the short drop which is provided. The fan blades are black on one side and silver on the other. We chose the black and are very happy with the clean, good look. These fans look good, run quietly and include a Iight with CFL bulbs. We are extremely happy with these fans and highly recommend them! August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Fan This fan looks great installed on my lanai. It is quiet and I did not have to balance the blades on either of the two fans that I purchased. My only complaint is the screws that attach the light kit to the fan are too small and difficult to screw in while you are on a ladder. I had another Hampton Bay fan that had motor issues after 7 years and Home Depot replaced the motor and even paid for the cost to ship the bad motor back. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great purchase Looks geat, very quiet, high quality, easy installation. I only buy Hampton Bay ceiling fans i have 5 of them. Just replaced one in living room 20 plus year old still works good just remodel. Gave away they installed it and its still running. August 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great fan for the money! Really like the look of this fan, and for the money, I could not be happier. I had someone install for me, so I can't speak to the ease of installation, but it took the guy 2 hours, which seems like a long time. Only complaint is the brightness is lacking. August 16, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by You get what you pay for This fan is fine for a $98 fan. But it is rather noisey. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for the terrace We installed this on the terrace and it's perfect! Circulates the warm summer air, making it comfortable to enjoy the outdoors even on a somewhat hot day. And the light is a bonus. Plus the price was right. August 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Look good It took some time to put the fan up . My two sons installed them July 17, 2016
