Ceiling fan universal light kits
I returned the light kits. The box said they were universal.

Adapting to HB Rothley III
Bought and installed a Hampton Bay Rothley III fan. 2 bulbs. Needed more light,young kids crafts and reading room. Bought the Gazelle 4 bulb assembly. Couldn’t figure out how to mount it. The switch cap on Gazelle was smaller than on the original Rothley light assy. Read the Q/A’s section. Voila!! Leave the original Gazelle switch cap on. Remove the switch cap from the original Rothley assy. Thread it onto the Gazelle threaded post, Secured it with the lock nut. Mounted it. Perfect fit. My wife is happy with the fan and the brighter lights.

Extremely Easy Installation
Literally took me 5 minutes to install. My existing fan is Hampton Bay, so you'd expect 100% compatibility. The connection was already pre made with plastic connectors that fit the other connectors in the fan housing.

Plastic globes
Easy to install and works great but the globes for each light are plastic instead of glass and look cheap. I would recommend buying a different kit with glass globes.

Thank you for your question. As stated in the product description and on the packaging, this light does include shatter resistant plastic shades. The shades are designed to mimic frosted glass with the added benefit of not breaking if dropped during installation or cleaning, or if hit with something in an outdoor environment.

This light kit was surprisingly easy to install, even on my very old fan. I did it much more quickly than I expected I would and I'm very happy with the end results. The lights are quite bright, so you might want to acquire additional light bulbs that are a little softer. Also the globes are plastic and not glass which isn't a big deal, but I was expecting them to be glass for the price of the unit (and since I didn't read the box fully)

Excellent quality for the price
We bought this light kit to replace one with a broken light switch. It fit perfectly and was easy to install. It took maybe ten minutes to attach to our existing Hampton Bay fan and provides plenty of light with four LED bulbs. To make sure it was compatible with the wire connections for our existing Hampton Bay fan, we watched the installation video. You just plug in the two wires and reattach to the fan. We are very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend if you need a replacement light kit or just want to update your fan light.

Universal light kit only works with a fan that takes a center post installation. I had to cut a hole in the bottom fan cover to make it work.

This light kit was very easy to add to my fan. The light covers are made of a durable plastic and should last a long time. We used color bulbs to give our deck a nice look. I will be adding more of the light kits to my other fans.

Easy install, bright lights, nice product!
I purchased this Hampton Bay light kit thinking I had a Hampton Bay fan. when I went to install the light kit, I realized it was a Hunter fan. It still looked like the kit would align with the fan so I attached the kit. The light kit wiring comes with easy connect ends, but the Hunter fan did not. I cut the ends of the light kit wiring and attached it to the fan wiring and then attached the wiring cap to hold both together. When I flipped the switch, the lights and fan worked! I'm not an electrician, but the install went quickly and smoothly. I think the plastic globes look fine and less of a chance they get broken if dropped. The lights are definitely bright!
