Answer:
This is made primarily for floating floors. The install tools or tool kit is required for the installation. if you install it as a floating floor You will not need a bonding agent or glue fort he installation. The rule is with moisture barrier the installed it is a floating floor. How does a floor that has expansion gaps and transition strips for runs over 35 feet allow you to bond it down?

Truthfully no, but I do recommend you buy the tools separately. My husband looked at the installation kit and the tools in them were just not as sturdy as the ones you can buy separately. Due to the large number of square feet we put down we are very happy we bought separately.

Divide the total square footage which is 80 by the sqft on the case label. I would add a couple more cases just in case. You can return any unopened cases

I used the Roberts felt pad with plastic backing. It gives the floor some cushion and sounds solid like a wood floor. It was similar to MP Global Model# QW100N1HD. After almost 2 years the flooring is the same as it was when installed.

Answer:
You have to use underlayment. They say that, just like with carpet, the better underlayment gives a better feel underfoot. We spent double what the basic underlayment costs and have been happy with it. I could tell it was better (quieter, mostly) from testing it in the store.

Answer:
Although underlayment is optional, it does have many advantages. Underlayment can ease in sliding the boards together during installation, help to minimize minor subfloor imperfections, increase sound deadening properties from walking and from floor to floor (2nd floor/main floor). For more information about underlayment, please refer to specifications of the underlayment of your choice.

Answer:
I have had laminate flooring (smooth) style in my kitchen for 7 yrs now and I have not had a problem with it getting wet. If something does spill I just wipe it up. I have 4 dogs and 3 grandkids. I love my laminate flooring. I think that if you take good care of your floor then it shouldn't be a problem. I have a sub-floor, meaning plywood under my laminate flooring with padding.

Answer:
This product is not waterproof but can be installed in a basement (moisture barrier underlayment is required).
When installing product in a wet area such as a bathroom, it is best to seal the joints during installation by applying a small bead of water repellant sealant to the top of the tongue. Once the flooring has been installed, seal the expansion space with the water repellant sealant also.

To prevent damage, take precautions to prevent unnecessary moisture flooring from staying in contact with the flooring. Wipe up spills/splashes, do not allow damp/wet things (towels/mats/clothes) to sit on the flooring, and use an exhaust fan to allow excessive humidity to escape. For a basement it may be prudent to carefully monitor and control humidity levels. Read Less

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 59 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bang for your buck An inexpensive floor that has an impressive "wow" factor. We installed this in our kitchen and living space and could not be happier with the overall value vs. look. The texture keeps my kids and pets from slipping all over the place. Several guests have asked where they can purchase the same flooring because it looks so awesome. Follow up on our blog at housaholics.com. This particular remodel can be seen at http://housaholics.com/diy-budget-kitchen-remodel/ October 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by exactly the floor I was looking for the boards did not snap together as easily as I thought they would. Part was inexperience and part was the boards. Can use better instructions. October 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by we looove this floor!! We needed something inexpensive because we were replacing the floors in our dining room, laundry room and kitchen... I was looking at a similar floor to this but it would have cost over $2000! When I found these and looked at the customer photos I was sold and I ordered them right away for 1/4 of the price!! And I love them!!! We had no problem installing them by ourselves (just my husband and I) and only had 1 board with a broken tongue on it - which we were able to use anyway once we cut the board in half. I'm considering ordering more for the bedrooms. 100% I would buy this again and I've already recommended it to my friends :) Oh, and I've definitely dropped a lot of sharp edged things on it already and no scratches at all!~! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I am very impressed with this laminate flooring. It was easily assembled and had very little waste. The floors are very attractive and easily cleaned. I searched and reviewed many brands of laminate prior to purchasing and was impressed with the specifications and warranty of this product. While it is very reasonably priced, it is, in my opinion, equivalent to any higher end material on the market. We have had many positive comments on our floors. I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to update their flooring. As some other people have said, "best bang for your buck" available! October 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product easy install After researching laminate flooring this one seemed the best for the price. Was super easy to install looks beautiful and easy to clean. Seems durable as we put it in a high traffic home office. Even my toddler who makes mess hasn't damaged it. It's really Beautiful and guests compliment it looks like wood once installed. I had someone help makes the cuts with a saw but it took us half a day for a 406sqft room from start to finish ripping out carpet and tack strips I used the 3 in 1 vapor barrier and underlayment. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product!! -- WARNING -- Pallet price more expensive We purchased a pallet of this product assuming the price would be lower. When we went to pick it up at the store and while the associate was looking it up we noticed that the price was lower for purchasing each case. Long story short, they would not honor the lower price so we had to return the full pallet and found something else in the store. The associate explained to us that if we were to purchase the pallet and wanted to return the leftovers, they would not accept it. Although if we were to purchase per case then they will accept the leftovers as a return. Since we didn't need all 40 cases in the pallet and ended up buying what we need at the cheaper price, we saved lots of money!! Don't always assume buying a pallet would be cheaper--lesson learned. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by We love it! It actually looks better than a more expensive laminate product that we installed for another room just 3 years ago! It's got great hand scraped texture that looks fantastic. And it actually cost us roughly $400 less for more square footage than the other product. We had it shipped to the store and it arrived before the estimated time and was ready for pick up when we got to the store! October 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Completely Happy We had about 1500 square feet of flooring to replace and knew we wanted to do away with carpet. I found this product and after reading all the good reviews I thought we would give it a try. So we ordered a box and seen how it would look in the "lights" of our home. We ended up loving it and installing it everywhere but the bathrooms, kitchen and laundry area. We have loved it. We have had it down for a few months now and it looks fantastic. It looks as though we paid four times more that what we actually did. My only complaint is that when ordering any single boxes they came in with quite a few damaged, but none were from the pallets we ordered. We had very little waste and after you find your "rhythm" the floor goes down very quickly. I am attaching some of our photos, excuse the mess where we were moving things from 1 room to the next to do all the rooms. May 12, 2016
