The animated pic of the fan shows a pull cord spinning on a lever while the fan spins. Is this accurate? Does a pull cord really twirl around??

Answer:
Thank you for your question. The 360 spin photos are created using photos from all different angles and the result may make it appear that the pull chain rotates with the fan. It does not. The pull chain and the center of the fan remain stationary.

Answer:
No. If that's the case the animation is quite misleading. This is a wonderful fan! We bought two of them and are completely satisfied with the quality, performance and style.

In the specs, it says the assembled height of this ceiling fan and light is 18.5 inches. I assume that is measuring from the ceiling to the bottom of the light?

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Yes the 18.5 inch measurement is the distance from the ceiling to the bottom of the light kit. The fan measures 13.8" from ceiling to the bottom of the fan without the light kit.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 236 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by NO AIR FLOW!! I'm not being dramatic! REALLY! No air flow! The previous owner of our house installed these just before we moved in on the front porch. We have 3 of these. In Atlanta, porch fans can make a huge difference in the summer months. Unfortunately, these fans are purely decorative. We've tried to move the direction of air flow (and in the process discovered a defect in one of them...it won't change direction), changed the speed, considered new fan blades (HD guy said it wouldn't work) and are now at a point that we will be replacing $450 worth of ceiling fans that are about 6 months old. The posts that call this out are absolutely correct. These do not push air at all. July 1, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by For looks ONLY ! NOT for cooling sadly I fell in love with the look of the fan. But despite the box saying it cools off a huge room, IT DOES NOT EVEN COOL OFF 2 FEET AWAY ! NOT EXAGGERATING. I wish I kept the box so I can return it. We have very cheap old ceiling fans that work phenominally so I had high expectations of this fan based upon the size of each blade/paddle. What a tremendous disappointment ! DONT waste your time and money. July 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product I bought four of these units. Each one was easy to install and connected perfectly. They look great and are so quiet you forget they are on. If you need this product dont waver about buying it. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is a Great Fan I really agonized over this purchase because so many of the reviews on this fan were not good. Since I really liked the look of the fan but was put off because of the negative reviews, I did a lot of research before I made my purchase. I checked the CFM's, the RPM's and the blade pitch and was pretty sure this fan would produce a good air flow. The fan was installed earlier today, and I love it! As far as I'm concerned, there is nothing wrong with the air flow; in fact on the highest speed, it blows too much air for my liking. I have 10 foot ceilings and used an 18 inch downrod, and the fan is in my family room -- not outdoors. I would definitely recommend this fan. June 1, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Galloping Gertie is back. Good looks. I'm OK with the air flow. Installation guide needs improvement. It's confusing on how you prep the down-rod if you're not using a longer down-rod. And then again, no mention of how to wire the black and blue wire for switch control of fan and light separately. Just remember, blue is light, black is fan. Now the big problem. The blades are so large that balancing them is next to impossible. (and there's no balancing kit. I had to borrow one from a Harbor Breeze fan). Because this fan uses the down-rod with the ball & cup mounting, it is prone to oscillate, jump around, and make noise. Our fan cannot be used in MEDIUM speed due to the oscillation. HIGH and LOW are OK. Balancing only shifted the problem to other speeds. Important: the fan comes with a pink slip of paper titled "Hanger Ball Installation (for longer down-rods). Throw the paper away, don't read it, don't follow the instructions. Those instructions will only confuse you and possible cause you to do something irreversible. July 7, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Havana fan I gave it two stars for looks . Looks great. As a fan it's junk, it moves zero air. I mean zero air. Buy it for looks but if you want it to actually move air like a real fan , don't buy this fan July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Elegant and functional Very nice looking fan with light. Installs about like any ceiling fan; easy enough, if a bit tedious (40 minutes or so). Zero wobble, silent, move lots of air. It replaced an old, plain white fan and light, and this one really makes the room "pop." July 5, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst fan ever Looks great but like other reviewers this fan has no airflow. It is coming down and being returned. Total waste of time and money. July 9, 2016
