I love the look of this fan. I used it in a kitchen/dining room area. It doesn't't look like a bedroom fan and matched my dining room furniture perfectly. there is a slight hum but we are still in the break-in period. Two blades are a little off in color and I will try to get them replaced if it bothers me. I wish you didn't have to use candelabra light bulbs and will change these for clear ones. I thought the price was a little high but was happy with the style and u pdated look.

We bought this fan because it matched the color scheme of the room - but it is too petite for anything but smaller rooms - there's just not enough bulk to it for larger rooms which would just swallow up this fan. If you choose to use the light kit - the overall length would mandate its use with a relatively high ceiling. The printed wood pattern on the blades is a bit cheesy and not uniform on some blades. One blade had a lighter wood tone adjacent to a very dark wood tone - separated by a sharp line of demarcation straight down the middle of the blade. It does not include a remote. It did install easily and was wobble-free without having to use the included balance kit. Overall - considering the relatively high price - there are better options out there and - at this price point - it should include a remote.

We were at Home Depot looking for a replacement for our bedroom ceiling fan. We loved the rich brown color and attractive detailing of the Havenville fan. This fan also has the unique feature of allowing the light fixtures to be rotated to the up or down facing positions by merely rotating the arm attachments. We jotted down the information and returned home to research the purchase. The online search yielded one review which commented on the fact that the fan had a slight motor hum. I was somewhat surprised and skeptical since, in my experience, fan motor hum was a 70’s problem which had long ago been solved. We returned to the Home Depot and purchased the fan. Upon completion of the installation, to my surprise, the fan did indeed have a distinct motor hum, even at the lowest speed. For a bedroom application the fan humming soon became a “dripping faucet” nightmare. Reluctantly we returned the fan for a refund. For other than bedroom applications, the humming may not be a major issue. I would not recommend this fan for applications where quiet operation is a must.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Carol The ceiling fan has fantastic features.
This is a classy fan and I love it! It added class to my media room. The previous cheaper ceiling fan subtracted from the room. I labored over the relatively higher price, but trust me, it is worth it. The old saying remains true: "You get what you paid for."
